I have never used a drill/tap combination bit before. I used one to drill/tap six holes for thumb screws on my reptile tank cover, they secure the cover to the tank. I used the M6 size from the set and drilled through kinda thin metal and it worked really well.

Cleans up damaged threads well. Drill and taps threads nicely. Requires a pilot hole and careful use so not to bind the bit in metal. I snapped one by pushing it too hard.

Well I snagged these up to tap my aluminum 2020 v-slot to 5m. Simple enough task as the hole is already bore and just needed threaded. Imagine my moment when the bit broke in middle of the tapping. Not only breaking but also marring my frame. Good thing it was just a personal hobby job or this could of been real bad.

Looks solid. Have not tried it yet.

I've used these three times now and they actually work rather well. I was surprised at how well they worked and they luckily haven't snapped off yet so no complaints.

I was awaiting the tread drill set eagerly but the first bit broke instantly when drilling into an aluminum sheet. Very disappointed!
