This hat is definitely warm. It only comes in one size, which for me is almost to big, but fits well enough to not be a problem. My head size is fairly small for a man. I got this hat to wear when it's very cold and to use when snow blowing my driveway to keep snow off my head and face. It does that job quite well. It does tend to make me sweat, even on very cold days. We had several below zero days when I first got this hat and it did keep me warm.The only real problem I had is that the faux fur tended to bleed dye onto my forehead once I started to sweat. It looked like someone had beat me on the head and bruised me. My wife washed the hat and that seems to have solved the problem. We have had a warm spell since she washed the had, so I will have to wait and see if the bleeding was really solved by washing it.I would have given this hat one more star if it came in more than one size and color.I have now worn the had many times since the above post and washing the hat did solve the dye problem. It still makes me sweat even on the coldest days, but I would rather that than be cold.

I purchase this hat for my son. He loves interesting winter hats. He loves this hat. It is well made and very warm. I cannot be happier with my purchase.

good fit, a bit snug when buckled. instant warmth for my bare noggin. will water proof plaid area to keep dry. might even get a second.
