Once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to polish several types of marble to a glass-like finish.This product is meant for professional use solely (or by very well versed DYS-ers)... To successfully use this compound, a certain technique and feel needs to be developed, as well as using it in combination with the right materials (buffing pads, polishing machines, cleaning prods. etc)...It is necessary to keep in mind that certain polishing compound, including this one, need to be handled carefully since they have a certain acidic content and if not properly used it might cause undesired results. Also keeping in mind that since this powder is for a rather dry, or semi dry application, it might cause for powder particles to go airborne, the proper protection should be used (respirator, gloves, possibly eye and ear protection).I would give this product the 5 stars, but in the several and so many times I have bought this powder ( here at amazon or directly from MB Stone), I have noticed certain inconsistencies in the way it works... I have notice a certain difference in the way looks and feel in a few occations (bad badges?), as well as having the instances of not being able to achieve a steady polish at a steady speed, but have managed to make it work for me... I would definitely recommend it.

I like the way this product works on marble and some granite's using either a white polishing pad or hogs hair pad. I would have given it a 5 star, if the product came in the plastic container as shown and was the correct weight of product. I received it in a plastic baggy and it only weighed 14.2 oz. and not 16 oz. as advertised. The shipping label shows the total weight with packaging and box to be a pound. If the seller wants to save on shipping I suggest selling the product as 14.2 oz.

I followed the instruction to the tee using the products they showed, but after several hours of hard work on our island only, it was still dull.

What a mess and did not work well in our shower. It is an immense amount of work!
