To make great matcha (powdered green tea), you need a great matcha whisk, also called chasen. This one is our favorite: it is meticulously crafted with 80 bamboo bristles that won't warp or break easily. W0hip up a great, smooth cup of matcha every time!

Very disappointing
When I ordered this product, the picture shown, and description, was that of a traditional matcha whisk. Imagine my surprise when it arrives- and is a tiny little 4 tonged miniature thing. The seller has since changed the photo and description. I will be returning this.

NOT AS PICTURED
When this item came, it was a poorly made 5 tong thing, definitely NOT a traditional chasen as pictured and described.

NOT a real chasen
thats not the a chasen (japanese matcha whisk). i saw at the teavana store and its just a tiny simple whisk that wont help at all in making a good bowl of matcha.check http://www.amazon.com/DoMatcha-Traditional-Japanese-Bamboo-Green/dp/B0019FWD5A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=grocery&qid=1244400155&sr=8-3 if you are looking for a proper whisk.

Eh..
It whisks good enough to mix the matcha evenly without clumps, but it doesn't create a foam. I definitely intend to buy a better one soon.

Buy a better whisk
I bought this whisk at Teavana and wish I had discovered that it was made in China. Please order a whisk with more tines; this one only has 80. You can't get your matcha to foam nicely with this whisk.
