An Upgrade Worth the Money
Very happy with this pan so far. It heats up faster and more evenly than my Lodge pans. It's much lighter than any cast iron I've used. The cooking surface is incredibly smooth. I've cooked steak, fish (no torn salmon skin!), veggies, and even eggs without any sticking woes. Some people have had issues seasoning the pan, but I've put a few layers of seasoning on it with no problems. If anything, I've found it easier to season than other pans. The factory seasoning came up way too easy (a steak pretty much stripped it down to metal), but the seasoning I put down myself is holding at least as well as it does on my Lodge.Overall, this pan is worth the extra money.

As described
Bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it. Been a couple of months now and it's breaking in nicely. Nice heavy weight. I'd recommend

My wife really likes it.
I purchased for my wife as she had seen either this or similar on America's Test Kitchen, I do not cook but she says it is far better than the older cast iron skillets she has and really likes it. She uses it on a glass top electric stove with no problems. It looks good as well, she seasoned it again before using for the first time and has so far had nothing stick. As a non cook I thought it was very expensive, but as the recipient of all the meals she cooks for me, I would have happily paid double. What does the cost really matter when it will outlast both of us, there are not many things you can buy that will last forever!, well at least both our lifetimes.

Gorgeous cast iron pan
What a beautiful pan. Love the embossing on the back. It's light. It's smooth. It's really a perfect cast ironpan. Highly recommend.

The Cast Iron Skillet you should own!
Excellent cast iron skillet, and a promotion from the Lodge version. When I purchased this skillet I also bought Lancaster's seasoning oil. Before using it I seasoned it 4 or 5 times in a 450 degree oven. After a few uses, I seasoned it several more times and it has now reached non-stick status. It's an excellent skillet for getting the perfect sear on your steak before finishing it in the oven, and it is wonderful for making such things as caramelised onions, and just all-around a good skillet. I had trouble getting the Lodge to be nonstick because the surface is not polished smooth as with the Lancaster.

Light weight heavy cost
It is lightweight but no easier to clean than any cast iron pan. Certainly not worth the price.

Love!
Cooking with this pan is a dream. I've even used it over a camp fire several times now, where the heat distribution feature really shines. The pan sits at the side, just 1/2 over flames and embers, and still, everything was evenly cooked with only a few stirrings needed, and clean-up was a breeze. The lighter weight of this pan is a big plus for me. I have a tiny wrist (people have laughed at it; it's THAT tiny) but have no trouble getting this pan safely off the fire using just one hand. That's with a heavy glass lid on top and the pan 3/4 full. After having retired a couple of ceramic non-stick pans in the past year, I find that this cast iron pan delivers far superior results and is made to last for a lifetime. I won't go back to non-stick, no matter how tough and safe it's marketed to be, they all fail after a while and likely have a long list of chemicals in them, that have never even been (sufficiently) tested for health risks. And last but not least, I also want to mention that the pan arrived with a lovely handwritten note. It adds a nice touch and probably even some flavor as I treasure this pan and all that goes into it.

Perfect steaks now easy
I have read a lot about steaks & how to cook them. Got really interested when I learned steak & chips is the number one lunch patrons ordered in Parisian cafes.Lancaster make one of the best cast iron pans on the planet, according to America’s Test Kitchen. ATK also mentioned a cast iron skillet is ideal for cooking steak. They were right. This particular skillet is the business.

Great skillet
It’s a great skillet all around. The quality of craftsmanship is top notch. The preseasoning is cook ready right out of the box. The nonstick effect of the seasoning really nice. The best part is the weight of it. It is very light compared to other skillets I have held. I love this and plan to buy some in other sizes

Beautiful pan and great non-stick performance
Best iron pan I have used. It looks very nice and the smooth surface makes it very non-stick if you take care of the pan.
User
Damn pretty
It’s a very pretty pan, lightweight and sturdy, the only drawback is it’s very very hard to season.. much harder than any cast iron pan I’ve ever had
