Great saw, perfect for cutting frets
This is a wonderful saw that I bought specifically for cutting fret slots and it does a great job. Very sharp, cuts even hard woods very easily. The depth gauge works well but you're going to want to buy/build a jig to keep the blade perpendicular to the guitar fretboard.

Precision cutting
I was looking for a saw that I could use to make very precise, sharp cuts for a model house. This one was perfect for the job, and it was actually better than I expected because it has the feature that allows me to control the depth of the cut.

Excellent Fret Saw
I absolutely LOVE this fret saw. I can freehand cut frets easily and with great accuracy. I love the ergonomics and the fact that it cuts on the pull stroke. I still establish the initial slot by pushing, but then the pull stroke makes the slot!

Nice and sharp. Cuts cleanly. If your hands are unsteady like mine, invest in a miter box to guide your cut.
