Indispensable for a 1942 vintage home.
If you have those old, galvanized pipes this device will help to clear those blockages. Saves me from calling the plumber for hair clogs!

Feels professional; reasonable price
For years I had a manual auger, but it got hung up in a bad pipe and the wire got kinked. Instead of buying another manual one, I decided to try a MUCH nicer one. We already have a lot of Worx batteries (for a mower and a succession of trimmers) so I didn't need to buy a battery. This unit is quite nicely designed. It's quite a bit easier to be able to have the motor turn and push the auger down the pipe than the manual kind. 25 feet doesn't sound like a long distance, but it's probably long enough for the vast majority of home plumbing clogs. If you need to go farther, it probably needs a large auger like the plumber carries in the big van.If I had a complaint, it would be that the instructions aren't as clear as I'd like about how to lubricate and store the cable after using it. I saw a couple of different recommendations in different places. So far it hasn't been a problem, as far as I can tell.

NOT USED YET
NOT USED YET everything I thought it would be . 5/13/2024 used it in a 3inch pvc going from the house to the septic tank . What I did is attach three loop ties to the head and that seems to help some cleaning out the pipe . The house is 47 years old with the tank settling I guess 4 to 6 inches over the years . the 3 inch pipe has a kink at the foundation and a squashed diameter . The end in the tank is below the effluent tank level getting stopped up at that point and then back up from there . Good thing I can work that worx auger to the cows come home and ream it out with my best battery . You would think 30 miles from Nashville ,Tennessee I could find a plumber who wants to work but NOOOO.

My 20V PowerShare batteries didnt fit
Worx should be a lot more clear and consistent on their PowerShare battery platform. This item is very specific on what 20v battery will fit it and its not the most common ones such as those that fit their hydro shot.Big waste of time and a pain to return especially living in a foreign country. Worx be more clear on what batteries fit what products and moreover start designing your tools to be more universal with those batteries.Dewalt, Milwaukee, Makita all can do it …so can you.

Saved me money.
I haven’t had it for a long time. However, my bathroom sink was plugged up bad and I was thinking of calling a plumber. I ordered this Worx tool and within 10 minutes of its arrival, I had the clog cleared. I’m guessing it saved me $150 to $200 plumber cost.
