I've tried so many countless types and brands of toothpastes. This is the only fluoride toothpaste I've tried so far over many years that doesn't itch, sting/burn, or irritate my mouth in any way. It has a super subtle sweetness but is otherwise unflavored. It has a great mouthfeel with no foaming. My breath has no discernible scent at all, not even in the morning, probably because my overnight dry mouth has improved a lot since switching to this. I wish it costs a little less, but overall it's a great purchase.

For various reasons I had to see my dentist 3 different times within 1 month and the lining of my mouth and tongue became extremely sensitive to the point almost everything bothered me. Even sensitive toothpaste was too harsh, especially with the mint flavor. I suffered for 4 months and finally found Dr. Bob's unflavored toothpaste. What a difference! There is absolutely no irritation whatsoever....none. It's a clear gel instead of white and there is no smell, taste or grit. Now it's a joy to brush my teeth. If you are experiencing similar problems don't wait. It is worth the price!

I don’t know why most toothpaste generally has such a strong nasty mint flavor. You can’t eat afterwards as everything tastes horrible. This toothpaste has NO flavor and it’s great. Has fluoride too. It’s a bit pricey but it seems they have no competition.

This toothpaste is wonderful whether you have sensory/taste issues or not. Would love it if eventually they came out with a mint flavored one for those of us who don't have a problem with it. I've been using it for a while now and though I love the clean simple ingredients, I just couldn't help but miss having a fresh minty mouth. Besides that, taste is really non existent, maybe just a little sweetness, great foam and effectively cleans teeth.

I’ve been using Dr. Bob’s for over a year now and I love it! At 30 years old, I’ve been searching for an unflavored toothpaste for a long time. I love mint, but not in my toothpaste. It’s a sensory issue for me. In the past, I’ve used oraNurse (an Australian brand), but Dr. Bob’s is comparable and easier to find in stock. It’s important to me that my toothpaste CONTAINS fluoride! I will not buy fluoride-free “natural” toothpastes. That’s why Dr. Bob’s is so brilliant. It’s actually doing to job of a good toothpaste. I was worried about the xylitol and it being “sweet” — it’s not! I have sensitive teeth and have had to use sensodyne in the past. I think the xylitol helps keep my teeth from feeling that reactive sensitivity.

I have a kid with sensory issues and used to hate brushing his teeth. He complains about the taste and the feel and just not liking it. But I bought this and he willingly uses it and brushes without the fight. He says it doesn’t have a strong taste, and he likes it much better than the others we’ve tried! I will buy again!

Adult here. I know this is technically a product aimed at children, but I have sensory issues around mint/menthol in my toothpaste, to the point where I will avoid brushing because of it. I had a lot of trouble finding a toothpaste without it that also had fluoride. Here's my official review: Still mildly gritty. Able to look past that for the sake of it being toothpaste and its something ya gotta deal with. The grit is more a chalky texture than a sandy texture though, which is miles better than sensodine ive been using. The taste is just artificially sweet, but not unpleasantly so. It doesnt linger. I dont feel like I have to wait an hour to drink orange juice. After I rinsed the leftover grit it was entirely gone. It does feel like I didn't brush my teeth, aside from my mouth feeling clean, because Im used to that lingering minty cool feeling. But im glad its not there. It does NOT foam. Which is nice for the fact that it doesnt get all over my mouth, chin and shirt. It is strange though, because I feel like I didnt use enough toothpaste. It is a little pricey, $9.99 on both Amazon and their website. But honestly for not having to fight my brain to brush my teeth, its worth it. Overall: **9/10** I wish it wasn't as chalky and expensive as it is, but it is a wonderful sensory friendly option. I appriciate that its not only unflavored, but SLS free.
