The tow hitch was easy to install, and does fit a 2017 Toyota Highlander. As others have noted, it is important to install the muffler extension bracket, which is provided with the installation kit that comes with the hitch. There’s not much to that installation. Basically, you unbolt the muffler from its bracket ear the chassis. Using the same mounting holes, you will mount the new bracket extension using yeh same bolts that held the muffler place. The muffler will bend down low enough to connect to the bottom portion of the bracket using two bolts provided in the installation kit.Overall, the hitch looks good as installed. I’ll admit it doesn’t look as good as the Curt Hitch which currently sells for the same price.I’m giving a two star review because the paint has already started to chip off of the trailer hitch. It’s been installed for less than 48 hours. So I have serious concerns about how well the paint will hold up over time.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Well I'm not sure what happened to my video. However this arrived as a used hitch. It was all scratched up paint was missing parts were missing. There was no muffler bracket to go in no bolts for that The only thing that survived was most of the larger bolts and washers that were inside the receiver itself. The bolts and the instruction bag seemed untouched. I will contact the seller if I can find a method to do that and send this back. Tried to edit several time, unable to get changes to stay.

My only issue is the instructions did not indicate how much torque is needed for the bolts. Had no problem putting it on my 2018 Lexus RX350L. Oh, included is an exhaust bracket that is not mentioned in the instructions. Very good YouTube video by manufacture on how to install it. Video does not mention torque or exhaust bracket.

Very easy to install. YouTube had a step by step video that made it extremely easy. I’m a female and did almost the entire installation by myself!! We drove 1000 miles after I installed it and it’s still doing great today! I drive a 2017 Toyota Highlander and only had to make a little modification to a plastic piece. But the video shows you even where to cut on it! I mainly got it for a cargo carrier rack but I’ve even hauled a boat and it’s just as sturdy today! I highly recommend! Especially since the ones at dealerships and stores want to charge double the price and add on installation fees. This was well worth the money!

The powder coating was falling off on multiple points when it arrived. The install went ok despite the powder coating being gone on both rear corners( box arrived in was destroyed and the impacts flaked it off). The install instructions were pretty easy, does require two people for about 5 minutes (lofting and bolting step, but everything else was a one person job). I haven’t used the hitch yet but It is well welded and appears sturdy.

My husband was able to instal this on our 2018 Highlander Plus with no problems. But he had to remove the mud protectors from underneath the car to instal, but could not put it back on the left side after he installed the hitch.

The packaging was extremely lacking for shipping causing extensive damage to the product that we had to sand and repaint. If you are able to put the car on a lift the assembly would go easy but laying under the car to line up took a little time and fine tuning (definitely a 2 person job!). After it was installed it's been really nice to have so all an all I'm happy with the product just wish they'd do a better job of packaging it for shipping.

I put this on my 2017 Toyota Highlander. I just needed one other person to hold up one side but once you put in a couple of bolts, it goes in easy! The muffler needs to come down about an inch and a half with an adapter and that was the hardest part just trying to find the tools to go into the small places.

Watching the installation videos on Youtube I was a bit worried I'd need to have the truck on a lift or at the least up on jack stands. But, It was very easy and accessible to install on my driveway. The additional wiring package was also very easy to install. Just watch and follow the videos.

Picked this up for my Highlander. Solid hitch. Would be nice to have it more hidden, but I knew this model wouldn’t be, but that’s all that was available. Super fast shipping!
