MegaBOOM - Steel Target System, Stainless Steel base

I used this 5 times during the 4th of July. First time was loud. Second time the bottle spun off in circles but didn't blow up. Third time was loud. Fourth time was a disappointment. Fifth blew up while I was pumping it to the recommended pressure (good think I was wearing hearing protection). A lot of fun though and legal here in the brush fire danger zone of California where fireworks are banned.

I bought this as an alternative to tannerite (no longer legal to shoot in my state) and was not disappointed. It is easy to use, the two-liter bottles screw right in. Our first bottle produced a boom that I would say is equivalent to about 1lb of tannerite.Pro tips:- Smaller bottles overinflate easily and are more likely to explode while still attached to the pump.- Make sure the bottle has the threads common on a 2-liter bottle of coke. some cheaper bottles have a different thread pattern that is almost right, but will slip off under pressure.- Do no use a flat nose pellet, they bounce off.- Place something at the base to protect the MegaBoom from low shots.- The o-ring washer that comes with it will fall out from the force of the explosion and you will lose it in the grass. You can use a washer from a garden hose as a replacement. They can be bought in bulk for cheap and don't fall out as easily because they have small nubs that help hold them in place.

have not used yet, my friend has one and it really was very loud up in the green mountains of Vermont, big echos.So 4 stars for now.

Very economical reactive target application. Good "bang for the buck" (he says, tongue in cheek).;-) My county government has overreached on all aspects of gun control. Shooting these targets with a lowly pellet gun makes a very loud bang! That should pucker their you-know-whats! I love it!

It would be a good product if it worked. I tried multiple bottles and could not get a seal. Tried thread tape pipe sealant everything I found think of my only thought is that it was a manufacturing defect. I would return it but I built my own from the hardware store and used the safety bag. (it was destroyed by time I had used it three times). Unless they can change the manufacturing design might as well build your own otherwise cool idea. And they are very loud.

Worth the $$ in fun. Now I buy discounted soda just to get the bottle. Putting flour of colored chalk adds to the fun. So far the stainless model has held up no problem. I usually place a piece of wood or something in front of it for added protection.

I used it one time, it made a heck of a bang. But I couldn't get a seal on the threads after that.

Goes boom like it should, a 2 litre Soda bottle takes a while to get to 125 - 150 psi even when using a small Mickey Mouse 12 volt compressor. So much for the 2litre recycling program at my house. Amazing that a crappy soda bottle whistands that kind of pressure. I wear safety glasses, ear protection, gloves when filling the bottles. I am going to rig up a hose to get me further away during the filling process.

The bottles don't screw on properly you got a mess around to get them to seal up so you can pump them up.. I'm not impressed at all. My boys were disappointed when they went to use them

A lot of fun. 2L bottles required quite a bit of pumping but was definitely fun to shoot. Especially when adding a little flour in the bottle.
