Has anyone put these in the dishwasher? If so, do they discolor?

I am so impressed with these bowls. They are light weight, but very durable. I use them all of the time and put them in the dishwasher. They come out clean and shiny with no white spots or other discoloration. Don't let the light weight throw you. They are made out of very good materials. I'd give them six stars if I could.

I'm planning to buy this to chop salad in with a mezzaluna. I'm sure it will get scratched, but is it thin enough that I'm going to dent the bowl?

Gary, no you won't dent it. It's pretty strong for such a light bowl. Also, I don't recommend you using a mezzaluna I'm that bowl. It may not dent but it is light and will not stay in place while you're chopping in it with that blade. I'd stick to the concave board meant for chopping with a mezzaluna and leave the bowl for holding whatever you're chopping. You could have an accident

Can I put hot boiling water in the bowl without any damage to the bowl? After washing my baby bottles, I like to dip it in hot water to “sterilize”

Its a stainless steel metal bowl. You'd have to boil the water to 2700F to melt the bowl, so as long as you keep the temp under 2000F you shouldn't see any warpage.

Is it large enough to use for mixing and making bread dough

It's very large and I believe it would handle a good amount of dough.
