SMALLRIG Lens Adapter Support for Nikon FTZ Mount Adapter - 2244

Useful little add on that secures the rig to the FTZ (mark 1) adaptor so relieving pressure on the lens mount. If you are switching between Z and F mount lenses it is going to take a little longer if you use this adaptor, but I think it is a small price worth paying to protect the lens mount

Perfect fit and makes the whole outfit more stable when using a Nikon Z6 or z7 camera, FTZ and a longer F-mount lens. Need to buy both the L-bracket (2258) and FTZ support (2244) for it to work. The L-bracket makes it easier to switch between landscape and portrait modes. Would definitely recommend!

This was the first SmallRig product that I purchased for my Nikon Z6, that was supplied with the SmallRig L-Bracket 2258 as a package. It's well engineered and a great addition to the L-Bracket if you use NIKKOR F-mount lenses.

Using the Z6 with my native F mount glass, this little add on to the L bracket really offers great support to the FTZ adapter and prevents strain on the mount.

I bought this on pre-order directly from SmallRig but the item is identicalIt's the small touches that make this good.It runs the full width of the body so it makes the camera a more usable sizeInclusion of the allen key and the magnetised slot to keep it in is greatThe 2 downsides:The cutout in the vertical grip is tapered and so the handle will not fit centrally on a genuine Arca Swiss head, this is important if you are shooting vertical panoramaSecondly, the base by the battery needs to be slightly curved up to improve the feel, minor but could be betterHighly recommended
