I have an elaborate woodworking shop and a wide array of sanders, and I have to say this one has many good features, and for this price is quite a wonderful sander. It is quiet as far as sanders go. The 6 speeds are really a continually variable speed adjusting wheel which is preferable over something that notches into 6-fixed speeds. That way you can dial it in just right; no limitations.It takes the standard 5" 8-hole sanding discs. The on-off switch is located under a flexible clear plastic bubble to prevent premature on-off switch failure due to dust getting in the contacts. Overall, I can't find anything wrong with it. Highly recommended.

This sander works very well on small projects or small areas (several square feet). It will tire your hands on larger projects. The exhaust bag contains most of the sawdust, but some dust does leak. The sander is quite powerful for a small device. The random orbit effectively prevents sanding edge marks, which is especially important when doing areas on a wooden floor. I am working on a damaged oak floor to repair small sections. So far so good with reasonable care to remove the minimum amount needed to get rid of damage to the finish. Hopefully, when done and refinished, the repairs will not be easily visible. If successful, it will save me having the entire floor refinished. Of course, this sander works nicely for small shop projects where sanding is needed before finishing.
