Pasta maker review
I am giving this 3 stars for the following reasons1. The latch to open the top feels like you are going to break the plastic when you unlatch it2. When you turn the front to lock it, it works its way to unlocked3. The die for the lasagna does not work correctly. My lasagna noodles split in half as they come out the die.

It was easy to use and the instructions were fine
Unfortunately I'm only giving this one star. I've been a homemade pasta person for about ten years. My other machine broker, so I decided to try this type. My other was the roller type. I wanted to try this type because I wanted to be able to make more shape pasta than just flat.I had a few issues with this machine. It was easy to use and the instructions were fine. Of all 8 attachments only one isn't flat (macaroni). It makes two sizes of spaghetti noodles, three sizes of linguini noodles, and lasagna noodles. The final mold is for cookies. I tried the macaroni (of course, this is what I was most excited for). My first batch didn't taste great and was very heavy. I had used the recipe from the book, but o thought, well, I'll try it with my usual pasta recipe. This I did. It tasted better, but was still very thick and made for very heavy pasta. Then I decided to try regular sized linguini. I used my normal pasta recipe. The linguini was also on the thick side, which makes for very heavy pasta dishes. The machine was fun to watch work, but it was slow. You cannot do more than three batches without letting the machine rest. We have 7 in our family. One batch feeds us just fine.Cleaning each template was difficult. The rest of the machine was easy to clean, but the tool that they give for the templates want effective. We had to spend 5-10 minutes with a toothpick cleaning out each template. All in all it was fun to watch, but the product was not ideal and it was difficult to clean.

Finally, fresh gluten free pasta!
Homemade pasta has never been easier. I am gluten free so the idea of fresh pasta was exciting. The reviews are a bit mixed so I didn't throw out the box until I tried it. I used King Arthur gluten free flour and made fettuccine with a carbonara sauce. So good! Upsides: so easy to make fresh pasta. Down sides: don't follow the recipes exactly, if you're a string cook follow your instinct. The diebis a pain in the butt to clean, you def need a toothpick. They should send a slender metal pick.

I've used a TAAKA pasta maker before and the recipes were very clear and easy, using the measuring cup provided
My first time using was very frustrating. Took awhile to assemble because I was trying to follow the instructions. I found it goes together easiest if you insert the mixing blade into the bowl, then place the bowl in the motor base while simultaneously securing the mixing blade through the back of the bowl into the hole in the motor base. Recipes took some figuring out, too. I've used a TAAKA pasta maker before and the recipes were very clear and easy, using the measuring cup provided. I prefer to make egg pasta but found the water to egg ratio hard to figure out (the TAAKA cup was clearly marked with an egg level and a water level.) My first effort was plain (eggless) spaghetti. Worked pretty well so I decided to try the egg pasta recipe and make macaroni noodles. The dough would not extrude through the die and the effort apparently tightened the nut, so much I couldn't get it off. Not even with the nut wrench. Took the dough out of the machine and used my TAAKA to extrude the macaroni, which worked just fine so I know the dough was the right consistency. I realize there is a learning curve so hoping my future attempts go more smoothly. It is MUCH quieter than my TAAKA, so that's a plus.

I wish there was 10 stars for me to rate this Pasta Maker!!!
I was so excited to finally receive my Magic Mill Pasta Maker! I couldn't wait for it to arrive-so when it finally did I used it right away! First off, the shipping was super fast ( i received it in less than 2 days) and it was packaged very well. I was very pleased at how easy it was to use and clean even without having experience using such a machine ever before. I love the fact that it has 8 different shaping disc attachments for different kinds of pastas; and also that it has a beautiful recipe book with delicious pasta recipes. This Magic Mill pasta maker also includes some accessories like measuring cups, a pasta cutter and more. Overall, I was very pleased with it, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

bad customer service
Used a couple of times, it leaks the fluids form the front.Fine, I contact the customer care, I give them a detailed description of the issue. The response from a Shannon, "quality manager" of Delonghi USA, is basically:- can't help, you need to do a video stream to describe the problem (really? do I need to do a video conference to prove you it leaks?)- or, you can send the unit for inspection, but you have to pay for the shipping (despite it is still in warranty)- but in any case, the product is discontinued, so if a replacement part is required, we will not be able to fix it.What a joke.

Terrible.
Terrible directions and the pasta was too thick to come out of machine. Had to hand roll and cut. Purchased for a gift and took awhile to use. Now it is too late to return. Very unhappy with this purchase.
