I own several MacArthur study bibles and they never fail to impress me. He was one of the best modern scholars in the world and his wealth of knowledge shows in these study bibles. From the very beginning he offers short lectures on how the Bible came to be, why we should read it, how to study it and then we dive in and his teachings are nothing short of fascinating and inspiring. Now, these bibles are of course big and heavy, it’s not a church bible by all means. But perfect for your personal studies at home or for a Bible study group. His notes are the perfect guidance to aid you becoming richer in your understanding of the scripture and the Gospels. The pages are vibrant and the text is easy to read, including the notes, however some might need magnification. Again they are large and a bit heavy just so you know. However they contain a wealth of knowledge that few other study bibles offer. I wholeheartedly recommend this or any of the MacArthur study bibles. For yourself, for a gift, for anyone who wants to go deeper on Gods word. The price is right and well worth it.

I bought this for my son-in-law based on the quality of the NKJV, MacArthur study Bible that I inherited from my mother-in-law. He really loves it and is impressed with the quality, but at this point we can only hope that it last as long as the one I'm using. Due to the large size this is more of a use-at-your-desk book than a carry-to-church Bible, but the notes are very helpful for personal study.

This book can seem overwhelming to someone who hasnt read the bible routinely. However the amount of background and information that is put into each scripture provides more details for you to understand. It worth it to me. I would buy another one if something happens to this. I feel that it has made an impact. If you do not plan to read the commentary do not get this. It takes up half the page sometimes.

This is God's word for the person eager to learn the Holy written word. You will not be disappointed. It offers so much more than just maps. It gives understanding to biblical abbreviations we take foe granted that a new convert may not know. It provides the names of God and their meanings. The font size is easy to see. I can't say enough great things about this bible.

The MacArthur Study Bible is a treasure for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Scripture. With thorough commentary from Dr. John MacArthur, it offers clear explanations, historical context, and practical insights. Its well-organized study notes and cross-references make it an invaluable resource. A solid choice for anyone serious about studying God’s Word. The hardcover, paper, and print quality are all amazing.

A pretty decent Study Bible to go alongside my McArthur KJV Study Bible from the same publisher. However, for the price being charged the level of detail in the print is quite simplistic and there is no Red Letter text included which I find a big let down for a Bible touting such a level of quality. My KJV study Bible was of a similar cost and yet has full colour photo's of historical sight's, museum exhibits, and regional maps as well as more extensive study notes and resources included despite the same author and publisher being involved. This is why I have left it a star short because I know from the KJV translation the quality could be better. All that being said, if this is your first Study Bible then it is begginer friendly and won't overwhelm you with information like many others out there. If you're looking for something more in depth then the MacArthur KJV from the same Publisher is a great option.
