Long review with updates. Great products, when they work. Terrible customer service.
Amazing light. Very small and VERY bright. Perfect for my EDC.UPDATE: August 2017Just after 2 months my olight stopped working. They sent me new parts. Problem solved. Shortly after is stopped working. Again they sent me new parts. Started working and then broke again. This time I decided to send the light. (I paid for shipping) When it got shipped back it didn’t work right out of the package. I tried emailing them but they blocked my email. Left a voicemail and no reply. Cheap product. And non exsistent customer service. Look elsewhere. $65 down the drain.UPDATE: March 2018After a few weeks of letting them know I posted a bad review they sent me a brand new one. I’ve used this light just as frequent as the others for the past 4 or so months and so far so good. Raised it to 4 stars. Their products are amazing, when they work. And took away a star due to very unresponsive customer service. Which I usually just review the product and nothing else. But the customer service has to be mentioned. Just tread lightly and hopefully they are working on this.UPDATE: April 2018About a month after I wrote the above update. The light completely stopped working. Sent it in, and they sent me a new one. We’ll see how this one works.UPDATE: September 2018Light has been fine but recently it is starting to not turn on I’d say 5% of the time. I just have to press the on button once again or a few times then it turns on. The interesting thing is I am not hard on these lights. I handle all my gear with care. But yes, I do use them. I work nights as a truck driver picking up milk and am constantly using this, attaching it to my hat 5-6 days a week. I put it on the charger at night. Again, great products, when they work, have noticed a slight change in responsiveness in their customer service. But unfortunately am going to have to lower my review to 3 stars since these lights cannot seem to last longer than a few months. Will keep this updated.UPDATE: October 2018The light has finally broke completely. Will not turn on. I’ve spent 2 weeks trying to contact anyone at o light. I will try one more time to get in contact with them but am not optimistic. I suggest looking elsewhere and save yourself a headache. I tried so hard to like this company. But i work hard for my money, as do most of you. I just wanted a long lasting quality product. Lowered to 1 star.UPDATE Pt 2: October 2018I had a manager from the US department get in touch with me and correct the issue. Restored back to a 3 star. Looks like the S1R II came out so I’m hoping this model has some longevity to it. My advice is stay away from this model, explore other newer models and go to o light store for your customer service needs, not o light world in China.

Great EDC light
This is my new EDC and I couldn't be happier with it for what I need it for. The beam pattern is food with a slight hotspot in the center. It has no problem lighting up a tree at 100 yards in pitch black conditions on turbo. Even though it's very bright, it can also be very dim on moonlight which is good if you don't want to disturb a sleeping partner or be seen at night on a trail.Battery life is quite substantial, I use mine almost every day (for a few minutes at a time) and I haven't had to recharge it for a month. I'll be buying an extra charging adapter to keep in my get home backpack along with my USB backup battery. I love the deep carry pocket clip because the top of the light stays flush with the top of your pocket, I also like to clip it to my hat bill for hands free operation. The magnetic tail is sweet to use of you have something steel to stick it to that's opposite of the thing you're trying to illuminate. They make the right angle one too but an indexing head on this light would be flipping sweet. I wish the button was more flush because I have had it turn on by accident in my pocket a few times, I've just gotten used to using the lockout feature which only delays deployment by an extra couple of seconds. Thanks to the seller for a good price and fast shipping and to Olight for making quality flashlights.

Don't let the price scare you, this flashlight is great!
A lot of flashlight in a very small package! I first saw this item on an EveryDayCarry site, and questioned the value at the price, but it is worth every penny! You get both a special high-discharge rechargeable RCR123A battery that can charge inside the flashlight using the supplied USB dock, a standard CR123A battery, the aforementioned USB dock, a carrying pouch, a removable clip, and a small leash. Even keeping the instructions in the bag, this all fits in my pocket, with a small bulge. I will most likely remove the instruction manual soon.Boy is this thing bright! On full Turbo S mode (900 lumens) it is very bright and has a very reasonable range. This mode only lasts for 90 seconds, and if used a couple of times in a row, will result in the unit getting pretty hot to hold. Both the 900 and the 600 lumen turbo modes are limited to 90 seconds. The primary modes are 300 lumens (high) 60 lumens (medium), 12 lumens (low). Turning off the flashlight with any of these modes active will retain that setting when you turn the flashlight on again. You hold the power button down to cycle between the main modes(I like this), and double click to power button to switch to the turbo modes. It has the rarely used strobe mode, but you never have to activate it during normal use. You have to TRIPLE-CLICK the power button to get the strobe (I LOVE this...) Easy to access the modes, not forced to cycle through them all to get to the one you want. It also has what they call a moonlight mode which, at .5 lumens, is enough light to see by in pitch black. The manual says this mode can be active for 15 days on a single charge. I hope I never have the occasion to test that. The flashlight is IPX8 rated for water resistance, meaning it will survive being fully submerged in water. It's also rated to be able to survive a drop from 1.5 meters. It's light, it's bright, it's awesome! Highly recommended!
