Not the Solution I'd Hoped For
I recently entered the world of acrylic pouring and it wasn't long before I had accumulated an insanely large amount of paint. Tubes and bottles everywhere! I was desperate for a better, more permanent storage solution so of course I turned to Amazon for help. I saw these and thought the wall mount option was a great idea, and so I took a chance and bought FOUR of them. But I was too eager and hadn't bothered to take measurements first, taking for granted that I knew the bins were customizable. Unfortunately once I received them I knew they just weren't going to work for me.The first thing I noticed upon taking this out of the package is that they smell HEAVILY of sawdust. Not really an offensive smell, just really overpowering. Even the next day it was just as strong. Just something I thought was worth mentioning. But that ultimately wasn't my biggest problem...So the compartments ARE customizable. There are dividers that you can remove to create more space. But the way it's designed would make it nearly impossible to wall mount if you were to remove any of the dividers, because then the products wouldn't be as securely snug. I got the impression that if you want to wall mount this, it's better to not remove any of the dividers at all.The photos I've included in this review gives some examples of what will and will not fit into the compartments. It seems 4 oz tubes of paint fit well, like Liquitex or Artist Loft, but 8 oz tubes are definitely too big (and I have a LOT of those). I had expected that when I purchased this organizer, but still wanted to give it a chance. Oddly enough, it depends on the brand when it comes to whether or not a 4 oz bottle will fit. In my photo you can see that a 4 oz bottle of Arteza paint fits perfectly, but a 4 oz bottle of Golden doesn't fit at all. When all the compartments are intact, it is not very flexible so there's no forcing anything in.Now like I said, the dividers CAN be removed so technically you can get any of these items to fit. Though in doing so it's better to keep it upright instead of wall mounted for safety reasons. But what I don't like is how limited customizing the compartments are. And that's where I had to deduct stars. If you need more room, you MUST remove one of the two "long" dividers. So it doesn't just affect the one compartment I need to be bigger, it affects the ENTIRE row. My photos explain it much better than I can in words, but it's just frustrating. I had to remove one long divider and one short divider in order to fit an 8 oz tube of paint. The compartment becomes so large that it actually fits TWO of the tubes. Honestly if this is what you have to do, you might as well just take ALL the dividers out because what's the point? Weirdly enough, the small compartment now fits the 4 oz bottle of Golden since removing some of the panels gives it more "stretch".So this type of customization, while it's cool that they added that feature, is not a good design in my opinion if it's designed for paint. Because while I gained one big compartment, it's TOO big, and the rectangular compartments you end up with are pointless. You CAN substitute one of the long dividers with a short divider, so you can get back some of the square compartments, but because of their length you will still end up with two, narrow rectangular compartments at minimum. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of that before sending these back.I feel like this issue could be solved by adding more carved out "slits" for the divider panels. Both on the box frame and the panels themselves. It would certainly provide more freedom when it comes to customization. I don't know. I'm not an engineer, but there HAS to be a better way. Or, maybe create this organizer in multiple sizes so that it'll fit 8 oz tubes the way this fits 4 oz tubes. In any case, even if I was able to fit everything perfectly this organizer still wouldn't work for my needs. Because I mostly use tubes of paint, not bottles, and most of the tubes show the paint color near the cap, not the top. So I can't see the paint color unless I pull it out to check. Not an issue if you're using bottles, but for tubes it is. Maybe create this organizer in a second, clear color as well? Or something similar to a spice rack with 45 degree rows that can accommodate bottles and tubes of various sizes while keeping them secured to the wall.

Defective or Damaged
I like it. I just wish it didn't show signs of damage and also, it was very dirty.

It looks nice but I’m not sure
These look great and were super easy to put up. But they were coming apart the moment I took them out of the package. They were kind of pricey cause I bought 6 of them. You can see in the picture that the dividers are bowed and not sitting in the slots right. That’s not from the weight, the pigment bottles are really light.I’m nervous that I might start having problems and have to find a better made product in 6 months to a year. They were packaged well though and only 1 came damaged and had to return. Return process was super simple and easy going.

I was really excited to get these! They work Great but they REALLY SMELL!
I got two of these and was not surprised they smelled a bit - but WHOA! I have had them for several weeks now. First put them outside to air out - that helped a tiny bit - brought them in and stocked them - now my whole craft room smells! - YUK!I have decided that I am going to clear coat them with a spray enamel or lacquer. I am hopeful that will take care of the issue. What are they making this stuff with in China! Dear Lord! They are going outside again today.

Very useful
Just what I was looking for to store and organize my paint tubes. However, other reviews were accurate- it smells bad when first received.

mostly good
Yes, there was a smell to this product when I unwrapped it...but not so horrific that I had to put it outside to air out.Yes the paint job was less than perfect. It was almost as it the inside slots had been put in backward and the wrong edges were showing for a few of the sections. But it is study, I could use a little touch up paint on it if the edges bothered me enough (but since I am using them in a cabinet I won't bother) and the paint bottles fit perfectly. It serves its purpose well.

Strong Chemical Smell - FOUL
So the product arrived and everything is as I expected except the odor. The major problem is the lingering chemical smell. I thought it might be the plastic packaging it comes in but after removing that, the product itself has a strong foul smell. I've had it outside and been trying to air it out as well as bleach it in the sun. I a couple of days into trying to air it out and the smell lingers. It is an incredibly awful smell. Horrific. I am concerned about bringing it back into the house. I'm hopeful that it will dissipate. If not for the smell, I would have given the product 5 stars. What the heck?!!I have read in other reviews that it is a tight fit for the 2 oz paint bottles but mine fit just fine. I received the product with no damage. Just the stench which is unlike anything I've ever encountered or smelled before. Unless that gets fixed, I would not recommend ordering it at all.UPDATED: Okay, airing out the box did nothing to stop the odor. BUT, I used a white primer/paint spray multiple times and that seems to have minimized the smell. If you use too much, it is harder to fit the dividers back in the slots but I am okay with the final result. Whatever nasty binding glue that is used, they really need to change the product.

Good, but the smell!
Received two of these today and the quality is good. They are sturdy and are just what I wanted for craft paint storage. My only complaint is the smell coming off them. I think it's from the paint on them or whatever they're coated in. It is so noxious, I was getting a headache. I had to put them outside. Hoping they're not as smelly tomorrow. (The smell is probably not from the packaging as they came from different vendors in different packaging.)

I will be sending this back.... came like this... paint chipping and slightly coming apart....
It functions well, and is pretty sturdy...holds 2 oz paint bottles perfectly...but it is not the best quality but will do the job. I ordered it the paint was chipped and looks like it is falling apart. Came assembled as you see it.... I ordered another one and it came in much better shape. Not sure if the first one was just a one of or not... but I will keep the second one I ordered.
