Great little gadget
I live in Florida and with a tropical storm/hurricane in the forcast, I wanted something that had multi functions in case our power goes out. I ordered this and received it the next day using my prime shipping. It came completely charged. It was easy to set up. I like the numerous options to charge the unit. A USB charge cable was included with the radio, but not the actual plug for the wall. My cell phone charge plug worked well. The setup was straight forward, but I did use the user's manual to get everything the way I wanted it. The flashlight is bright and will be handy in the dark. I like that it has an option to use AAA batteries if I choose to. I live in a rural area and am impressed by the number of radio stations it found automatically. It also has a weather band radio built in and it indicates it auto set for the band in my area, but I don't know if that is accurate. I also like that it has an alarm clock built in. I cannot comment on how long the battery lasts as I haven't had the opportunity to use the radio for an extended period of time. I hope we don't lose power with the coming storm, but am glad I have this if we do. At an affordable price, I would recommend this unit.

A must for emergency
The media could not be loaded. Extremely important to have an emergency situation. I keep this right next to my fire extinguisher, candles, and flashlight. All of the unit does have a flashlight attached I would prefer if I needed to use it and I wasn’t wasting power I created providing light. I really like the digital readout so you’re not guessing we are landing on the radio and tune. It’s very small considering all that it does. I also like the colors it comes in I purposely chose yellow it’s very easy to see but Red also can seen easily as well. Back up battery power is an option it takes three AAA‘s. Overall very happy with the functionality of this radio.I hope this was helpful.

Great compact radio for camping, emergencies or just every day listening!
This would be THE radio to have when he power is out. It's large capacity 18650 battery can be recharged from solar/crank or USB and in a pinch it can also be powered by 3 AAA batteries found everywhere. Sound quality is very good for a smaller radio and while it comes with detailed instructions, most features are intuitive and easy to figure out on the go. Grab one, grab one for every household in your circle of family and friends, keep them informed in emergencies!!!

A little safer
Our local meteorologist has urged everyone to get a radio like this and I finally got around to it. It has several ways to recharge, including a manual crank and I just leave in in a window of the house and it stays charged there. It has a bright flashlight if the power goes out, finds local stations, has a weather channel and will alert in a storm. Thankfully it hasn't gone off but our area has seen tornadoes and flooding in the past and weather is getting worse. We also will be taking it camping where we are off our regular grid and can't get our usual weather channels. I feel a little safer having this little radio.

EXCELLENT EMERGENCY RADIO
The media could not be loaded. Really like the fact that there are four power sources (the sun, USB cord, AAA or Lithium battery) plus it holds the charge quite well. The flashlight is quite bright, though I have not tried the SOS yet. Need to test that when I'm far from my dogs and my neighbors, understand it's rather loud. If you have a newer iPhone you'll need a charging adapter to power your lighting cord to the USB port. (they're inexpensive on Amazon).Definitely recommend this little emergency radio; every home should have one. Shouldn't consider leaving your home for a hike or camping without taking this little Maksh radio with you.

Works adequately on all bands, bright focused LED light.
Works better than a similar model sold under a different label name earlier this year, (lime green façade) at least this model can pick up weak AM stations although it does tend to add some internal EMI to the final audio output that is annoying but bearable since earlier models could not even manage to pick up weak AM signals, (day or night) a markedly better product using tweaked, (improved?) internal circuitry. One of the best aspects of this design is the easily replaceable 18650 lithium battery compartment that shares it's location with the back-up AAA battery area.I would never leave a set of AAA batteries inside any device that runs on this size battery as they're notoriously leak-prone.Even if kept nearby a device I've had these batteries leak regardless of location.Best to just keep a spare 18650 handy in case the supplied battery ever fails to retain a sufficient full charge.Sleep timer a huge plus as very few digital display DSP crank radios have this feature.I knocked off one star for the buzzing EMI on AM, yet this model does perform adequately for weak AM signals, again a big improvement.Even though this has precise tuning, I prefer the analog version of this model sold under the "Crusader One" model number with the logo of "72HRS" as well, it may not have the selectivity at night, but during the day, it has no EMI added to the final audio output on AM signals, so it's a more pleasant listening experience.I even tried using this MAKSH outside to see if the buzzing EMI, (primarily on AM) was a byproduct of internal house wiring and it wasn't, clear of the building, I still had buzzing even when tuned to clear channel stations. If you're like me and have to have the best in a digital DSP display radio, spend a bit more and spring for the "WINDROGAN" sold here on Amazon, it has great weak signal processing during night or day without any buzzing EMI, has twice the battery capacity, but does not have an easily replaceable 18650 battery access, but has an AAA battery compartment and no sleep timer. But, the WINDROGAN does have the benefit of sounding like an old radio as listening to it at night you can hear the familiar fading in and out signal on weak stations as the sky-waves fade in and out in strength.
