I love this mug. I bought it because I sometimes stop for a "cappuccino" at a local gas station, and my old coffee mug wouldn't fit under the spout. I wanted something a little smaller. The lid is leakproof when closed (obviously, not when open) although I rarely close it. It keeps my coffee hot for a couple of hours, which is long enough for me to drink it. It fits under all coffee makers. It's easy to clean (I put the lid in the dishwasher now and then). I love the color. It's well-made, and the handle turns out to be useful. I like that the company is about more than just making a profit. They want to do their part to save the world, and I'm all for that. I just wish I needed more of their products! No complaints. This is a great mug.

I bought this item because I had a Starbucks coffee flask that kept leaking when I transported it between home and work. I got this because I liked the carrying handle (although I was worried if it was cheaply made, it would break), and I liked the promise of the double walled insulated steel keeping my hot items hot for 12 hours. One thing that worried me was I couldn't find a picture of the inside of the lid. The lid of my Starbucks flask was very bulky and had little nooks that was pretty impossible for me to clean well, and being able to clean my cup lids thoroughly is really important to me. I was estatic to see that the GreenSteel lid is of a very simple, everything-accessible design. However, I think the bulkiness of that Starbucks lid is what helped to keep my coffee hot longer. This GreenSteel lid itself isnt insulated, so in my experience, especially when I leave the sip hole open, my coffee doesn't stay piping hot for 12 hours. Its the steel cup itself that does hold the heat (and cold) pretty well. So of you want to keep your coffee piping hot for hours, you may have to keep securing the sip hole (I haven't tried to see if that keeps it hot for hours, I just tend to drink my hot coffee within a couple of hours). The steel cup is surprisingly lightweight, so the 12oz is not cumbersome to carry around at all. I like this cup so much, I been using it to drink ice water with my meals (cover off), since it keeps the ice longer than regular cups. This is a well-made cup. No off tastes or odors. My only moment of slight dismay was when I filling my coffee very close to the top and screwing on the lid, it would spill over because its too full. So I just have to get used to not filling it up to the top, I have to leave 1 inch or slightly more od space due to how the lid is made to screw into the cup, where the threads go maybe an inch down the inside of the cup. However, I love how it seals great and again, love the handle and the simplicity of the lid which allows for thorough cleaning, but probably doesn't trap heat for tok many hours

This coffee mug is just the best thing for me. I usullay drink a 10 0z coffee and I had to work at sipping my 10 oncces through my 16 oz cup. This is a much better size for my needs and it stayed hot for at least 3 hrs. I am a kidney Dialysis patient. The need to control the amount of fluid we drink is very important. I love, love, love this cup and wish I could pass one out to every patient at my dialysis center. It doesn't leak and the handle is perfect for carrying. Now I want one in every color.

This is a great size. It doesn’t leak which is important. The coffee does not take on a metal taste, and drinking out of the lid is fine. It does not keep the coffee as hot as I would like because the lid is not insulated. It’s okay for about an hour but not longer.

I travel alot for work this is my 2nd time purchasing it. This cuz is amazing I've thrown it in my luggage full it never leaks. It can take a beating keeps my drink hot for hours and my drinks very cold. I use it mostly for my tea and coffee. I fill it up with coffee at the hotel and hang it on my carry on luggage with a carabiner or if im running late I just throw it inside my backpack not really sitting it upright becasue well it does what it says it never leaks ! Its super durable last time I bought one was 2 years ago I bought another becasue my dad really liked it and took it to use for work and wont give it back haha he does construction and also he actually throws it around alot but it never leaks. Its gotten scratched up but hasn't dented. Great value for what you are paying for its a 12oz or 16oz but its a powerful little cup ! Doesmt change the color Handle has held up very well also when i opened the cup there was no weird smell it doesn't change the taste overall great cup I got the smaller size this time the16oz I purchased first and the 12 oz it looks so small but it does hold the 12 oz the first ridge on the bottom when you screw it closed that is the line so you know where to stop for the 12oz for the price its really great and this handle works so much better for me than the traditional ones it also fits in the cup holders in your car

UPDATE: contacted the seller and they were very responsive to the below issue. They sent a replacement immediately. I was able to confirm that it was the cup that was the issue. I'm happy to report...that my obsession with this cup is validated. I've since bought two. The handle is so nice for distance walking. I was so excited about the cup for morning walks with coffee. It arrived yesterday and out of the box seemed super nice. This morning I excitedly filled it with coffee. I need to point out that I did not overfill it. And...it leaks. Badly. I attempted at least 4X with the same result. Verified the o-ring was even and I baffled at the fact that it never failed to leak significantly. Still took it on my walk and absolutely loved the handle...a game changer. I have to admit...I'm a little obsessed with this cup aside from the leak 🤷‍♂️. Where do we go from here??

Unlike other products that I've used, when I put hot coffee into this product, the coffee significantly more quickly cooled. When I held the mug, the mug's exterior wall was warm. When I put cold milk into the mug and then held the mug, the mug's exterior was cold. When I've used other products with advertised vacuum insulation between the interior and exterior walls, the exterior was neither warm nor cold to the touch. Thus, in this product, the alleged vacuum insulation either does not actually exist or otherwise, the alleged vacuum insulation noticeably failed.

Finding a great travel coffee mug is a constant challenge. I was really hoping that I had located a solution, but alas, it has failed the leak test miserably. The good: 1. The mug is shorter than most with a larger diameter. They realized that increasing the diameter boosts the capacity dramatically (it's fun math if you are ever curious about the calculations). Even though it looks notably smaller, the volume is exactly the same as many of my much taller mugs! 2. There is no rubber grip on the bottom. They realized that "sticky" bottom surfaces dramatically increase the tipping risk. And they are more difficult to clean and wear out over time. The metal-only base combined with the shorter, wider profile, likely makes this the most stable travel mug I have come across. 3. The lid can be situated for full cleaning without disassembling. 4. The rubber seal ring is designed to wedge between the lid and the mug rather than just a flat washer that sits on top. The design is good, and you can feel it engage as you tighten the lid. 5. The handle was very well received by my wife, but locks firmly out of the way when not in use. 6. The rubber oval that inserts into the sipping port is solid, not simply a hollow protrusion. It pushes in snugly, and looks like it will last well. It is evident that this mug was well designed (in the UK, I believe). Kudos to that team. Unfortunately, the manufacture of this mug was outsourced to our adversary, and, IMHO, that is where the failure entered. The material in the flap on the lid (and the lid in general) appear to have been minimized, and it compromises the entire product. The sealing of the lid depends heavily on the thickness of the flap and the rigidity of the hinge pivot point. Although the design is sound, no design can survive if the materials are compromised. In this case, the flap is too thin. It forms a weak point that simply will not last, which is very disappointing (and is kind of contrary to the green thing). In my case, I purchased two mugs. One lid is adequate for now. It has enough integrity to form a complete seal on the sipping port and the air vent hole. The second lid, however, is defective out of the package, which I would blame on the quality of the manufacturing outsource selected. The rubber plug attached to the flap for the vent hole is visibly malformed and has no hope of ever creating a proper seal. I will be contacting the manufacturer in hopes of resolving the situation, but I'm disappointed that there are not quality control measures in place that would make my additional effort unnecessary. Meanwhile, the perfect travel mug quest continues. This was so close!

Después de más de 2 años de uso, aún lo llevo todos los días al trabajo, conserva la estanqueidad e incluso ha resistido golpes. Solo les recomiendo que cuando esté muy caliente y quieran abrir la tapa, intenten no hacer la fuerza desde la agarradera. Porque se puede salir. Aún así y con eso, me sigue funcionando de maravilla.

Perfect mug for commuting. Decent size, keeps drinks hot long enough, and never leaks. Plus the handle is a nice touch - much easier to carry when your hands are full: you only need one finger. Also loving the practicality of a simple stainless steel finish - that's quite rare to find. Not only the mug is completely fine in dishwasher (there is no coating to peel or stain, brilliant!) but also there is no need to worry about scratching the bottom of the mug while resting it on various surfaces when out and about. The lid has a simple design too, easy to use and to wash, no weird/hard to reach crevices so that's definitely a bonus. This is a good looking, practical travel mug that quickly became my favourite and should last a long time.
