newer kits fail
i'm a huge stikfas fan, and have spent a small fortune on them when they first came out, and whenever a new kit came out.stikfas are small palm sized multi-jointed figurines which look very similiar to the wooden figurines that art students use for human body references. they come in different colors, and each set comes with fun accessories, such as the safari figure that comes with items you would see from series such as indiana jones or tomb raider, or the segmented robot kit comes with space guns, a radar, and even a teddy bear. they also include some humorous stickers, such as an on/off switch with the knight, or an oven to put on the chest of the segmented robot.this kit, has only one fun accessory, where usually this kind of "walker" has a ray gun, it also includes a vacuum cleaner for that extra messy head shot cleanup. the stickers in this kit are more precise, for the chair and even a targeting screen on the bubble, which i dont think an 8 year old can easily stick perfectly.while this was a fun kit, i could only wish that the quality did not diminish over the years. i was looking forward to putting together this kit and putting it among my other pieces, but the plastic isnt as strong as the older kits, and don't quite snap so easily into place. also, the pieces arent as uniform as before, meaning, that too much movement can easily break the plastics.

Looks Nice
My 10 year old son bought this product because he wanted to make Utube videos. He spent a fair amount of time building this which was actually great for him. He made videos for a couple of days and the arms broke. This is not a play thing like the Star War figures. It is fairly fragile and not really meant to be "played" with. If you want to buy it and put it on the shelf or play "nicely" with it then that is ok. My sense is that someone somewhere realized there was a market for something that looked like these things and made them but they are not that durable if you want to actually play with them. My son was upset when it broke and it took him a few days to recover. Everything that the company did was great........it was on time......they delivered a product........but I would think twice about getting one of these if the intended purpose is for a little boy to play with it.

walking junk
well it must have been a bad batch of plastic because the pilot guy thing just joints broke and what not and rendered useless and the robot thing just as well

Very Lackluster Kit
For those new to stikfas, they are small plastic figures with socketed joints, allowing for an incredibly posable figure. These figures almost always need to be broken out from a mold and assembled yourself, and the pieces tend to be rather delicate. Because of this, I would not recommend these toys for young kids, though they are terrific for older children and young teengagers due to the creative possibilities in posing the figures. This particular kit I found to be rather dissappointing, especially for the cost. It comes with one basic figure, and the dome walker robot. While most kits come with a large variety of accessories, this one comes only with a small gun, vacuum, and exhaust kit. There is very little room for customization. In addition, I have found that due to the weight distribution on the robot makes it difficult to pose, while at the same time the small size of the dome makes it rather tough to even get the "driver" inside the robot.Between the limited flexibility and the lack of customization options, I would really only recommend this kit for the diehard that has everything else.

The vehicle is nice, the figure.. not so much.
I picked this kit up from eBay. Unfortunately as I was trying to assemble the figure I had the main torso ball joint snap. No biggie, they give you an alternate torso. Went to assemble the legs, had a ball joint Crack with very little pressure. At this point I called the figure a wash, and as a test tried to finish putting it together. Almost every socket cracked. The quality of the plastic is very poor. Granted, this could have just been from a bad batch that got by QC. Buyer beware though, as I understand it a lot of the later figures were made using lower quality plastics.Still going to give it three stars, because the walker itself went together very well, and is a pretty cool piece. If it is lacking a bit in accessory department. Also seeing as any Stikfas figure will fit inside it, it's not that big of a deal.
