Divide by 2. Then you will have the TRUE wattage of this cooktop....
Instead of blasting this product on day one for lack of performance I decided I'd give it a month. A month later my frustration level with this item has only risen. Unless you have like 5 oz of food in your pan, you can forget about cooking properly with this weak cooktop. First let me say that IMO either this particular unit has a defective heating element or the manufacturer is lying about the 1500 watts. I had a 900 W Oster cooktop from Wally World that performed better than this. As another comparison, my Duxtop 1800W Induction single burner on 1/2 power, will bring water to a boil minutes faster than this Techwood at full power. Nuff said!VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!PROS* specs are great "On paper"* rotary knob on the frontCONS* cook surface too small* touch buttons bad location (much reach under a large frying pan or wok to turn off power)* Wattage misrepresented. Feels like < 900 Watts* Glass surface stains/marks way too easily

Disappointed
Received the product. Doesn't work. Looks like somebody used it. No booklet either. Very disappointed.

Weak Glass
The first time I used this I had trouble getting the touch sensitive on\off button to work, but after about 20 jabs at it, it came on and worked fine, it came up to full temp quickly. The second time I used the on\off button It wouldn't have any of it. So in true redneck tradition "If brute force doesn't work your not using enough of it" I kept jabbing at it and the glass broke, see picture. I didn't actually press it all that hard but it shattered, almost cutting me and possibly electrocuting me to boot.My opinion of this product: I SHOULD SUE.
