Medline Bariatric Offset Walking Cane for Seniors & Adults, Ideal for Balance Support

I love this cane so much I purchased 2. It is easy to adjust to the correct height. It is made very well and can support a lot of weight. Due to it being so well built it is heavy. I have used store purchased canes made of aluminum and are also easily adjust and are light weight to use. When I started using this cane. It was noticeably heavier to lift while walking after a couple of days. I didn’t notice it so much. It became easier to use. It is now my favorite cane!

******update*****Ok I'm on my second cane the first rusted around the threads and other parts pretty quick. Medline replaced it second has lasted better but the paint wears off really easy. I wonder powder coating would be more durable.The tips wear out rather quickly the pipe cuts a ring in the bottom even with the metal reinforcement. You don't realize till it slips on a smooth surface. Really really needs a better tip one more durable.Other than those 2 issues it's been a good cane I will probably buy another soon as mine is looking pretty rough from falling over lol.I was surprised when this came came in pleasantly surprised! I read alot of reviews and looked at comparable models and went with this one for a couple of reasons. First was it has two locking pins vs one to lock the cane in position. When you have to put some weight on it you want as much security you can get. Along the lines of security it's made of steel vs aluminium. I'm aware aluminium can handle alot if done right but its hard to beat steel. The weight is not an issue its 3lbs according to the stats and the feeling is one of stability. The grip is a pretty hard rubber grip it has some give but its not squishy like a foam rubber grip it does not spin or move at all. Overall it's a very secure stable feeling cane would not hesitate to reccomend. The only one thing that did bug me was the stickers lol there were some that were just advertising and were a pain to get off, thank goodness for goo gone. Over all A+

Cane is very heavy but is also extremely stable I mounted a NEX STRIDE laser light to help me my balance and walking issues.. the two work well together so I recommend buying them both

Description states 2 lbs however actual weight is 4 lbs. Even though the cane is imported, I believe it will support 500 lb person. Unfortunately cannot use the cane as it was too heavy for an elderly woman to handle. And, for some dang reason the cane is not returnable. So we donated it to hospice.

Wonderful cane! Yes it is a little heavier, but I never feel any wobble and it stays where I place it. The added bonus is that my left arm is now stronger as well…

I guess it’s difficult to have a cane that’s both strong and light- this cane is made to last, as it is made of steel. That’s a pro in comparison to these tin like aluminum canes that are not reliable. It is also adjustable and seemingly well made.However, this cane is uncomfortable at the hand grip and it weighs a notable amount for any frail body or someone with arthritis or lacking strength. This cane was not right for our needs- it was supposed to be returned, but unable to get website to work correctly to date. This is brand new- unused- just delivered- but the site will not let customer get to ‘refund’ section and it’s both frustrating and annoying. Will contact Amazon customer service to try to resolve.

My previous cane of 8 years had seen quite some action. After the handle grip disintegrated entirely, I thought I would both purchase a replacement for the grip along with an entirely new cane. This review is for the new cane and immediately I noticed the difference in how the two handled. This cane has some serious mass to it. I fear it might be considered heavy, if not too heavy, for some users, but I still have quite a bit of strength left so I personally don't mind the fact that it weighs what I presume to be about 4 times what my other standard off-the-shelf cane weighs. In exchange for lugging around the extra weight, this cane is indefatigably sturdy. I can lean and balance all that I can on this cane, the connection between the upper and lower halves has absolutely zero wobble to it. The double-pin locking mechanism may be to thanks for this, but this cane feels like it can handle some serious action. I've only used it for about a week now but already I know this is my heavy-duty choice for when I need to prioritize stability over portability. It still retracts to about the same size as my other cane, but you will notice the extra mass.

Yes, it is cheap and looked good, so I ordered three of them to have a couple spares. Big mistake. Those labels stuck all over the cane are impossible to remove and highly annoying but even worse is that the ring you need to turn to make the cane longer or shorter does not turn. It is stuck so hard that the cane can not be adjusted without the help of Superman and even he might have a hard time. I called the company on their 1-800 number and they were very nice but admitted that "sometimes" the ring is hard to turn. I have no one to help me adjust the height so these three canes are useless to me. I would return them to Amazon but it would cost $24 plus change. Not worth the effort and aggravation. These canes are going to end up in the trash. Also, the listing said they have a foam handle; they don't. The handles are hard plastic. I am very disappointed with this purchase.

It's strong and I love it

Great for overly large people. The rubber tip is the size of a crutch tip. No danger of slipping with this one. The two pins are a good idea. My old bariatric cane the pin wore out and I ended up on the ground and couldn't get up. This gives me peace of mind knowing I won't fall again. I wish it came in other colours. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FRAIL PEOPLE! It must weigh at least 5 pounds!

this works well and is very sturdy

Like the sturdiness of this cane. But I prefer a better handle than what it comes with. This will be my going out cane, not my usual one that I prefer the handle with a bit more soft ergonomic grip. But for the price, it is definitely worth it and getting a new handle grip for it. It doesn’t have a lanyard on the handle though. It is a very heavy cane, but this isn’t a problem for me yet. Thank you.

My husband is 6'3" and a big guy. Got knee replacement and used this temporarily. Very solid!
