36" One Man Crosscut Saw, Tuttle Teeth, Made in Germany

I depend on firewood for heating. Purchased this crosscut as a backup, in case chainsaw option is not available in a crunch situation. Saw included a small sharpening file. I didn't spend a lot of time field testing the crosscut saw, but used it with another person on the other working end to cut several smaller dried trees/limbs. Saw worked as expected. Saw came with a few noticeable surface scratches on the blade. I expect it'll have a few more after some use.

I live in a place where our average snowfall is over 200 inches per year.When we do shovel our roofs we need to cut blocks and scoop it off.This saw is the ticket!!Oh yah, it's also really handy for cutting limbs off trees too....

Saw arrived on time and well packaged. I have not had a chance to try the saw on green hard wood. I have used it to cut downed seasoned oak limbs in the 10" to 12" dia. range and the saw performed very well.

Blade is sharp and slices wood cleanly. Handle slot not machined perpendicular to blade but useable. No hole in blade near grip for extra handle position. Tool is ready for work...

Good quality, did the trick for a maple tree. A little coarse for a fresh pine tree that just fell. (Thus requiring finer teeth)

Didn't try it, but looks good.

Always wanted one, now I have one. I often use this in place of pulling out my chain saw for light to moderate cutting.

This saw is amazing. It cuts through hardened wood like butter. We did it with two people, but one can manage it well also.
