Biogreen Warmax Antifrost Paraffin Heater

purchased this greenhouse heater, set up flame in line instructions with no smoking. A small greenhouse got down to -2 C. In the morning. Later during the day the plastic surround to the burner had melted and caught fire. I would estimate from the wick size it has about 100W output from the burner making it only suitable for cold frames not greenhouses. How any company can design a product like this with a flammable press fit burner is beyond comprehension, do not purchase!

Unlike more expensive heaters the wick assembly does not screw into the tank.This just push fits into a plastic collar that sits on the tank.Any movement of the wick assembly ie turning the wick up or down tends to flip the collar & wick assembly out & potentially exposing the flame to the fuel in the tank.I glued the collar to the tank & this helped but I still need to take care when adjusting the wick.I would advise buying a more expensive but better designed heater.

Very dangerous when lit the hole where you poor the oil is also the hole where the wick is fitted and it is too large cannot be tighten sorry to be negetive but that’s my experience

It works and helps in the greenhouse but it doesn’t stay on all the time, it cuts out after a few hours although unsure why, I thought they lasted longer to why it could be kept on permanently but the wick doesn’t last long before you have to clean the burnt part to relight it

Bought to give gentle heat in a greenhouse - smoked continually despite using the recommended fuel and went out quickly.
