Is the clear plastic covering the pan easily removed

Just so you guys know, the wind cover is there to prevent any ambient changes such as room airflow. If you are using this scale for accurate measurements, as most of you should be given the type of scale it is (for example, diamond weighing or milligram weights for powders), its important to keep the shield ON while in use. Failure to use the wind shield will cause variances in your sample weights due to ambient changes. I'd highly recommend using the shield during use if you are indeed doing analytical measurements for the most accurate results. It also keeps out contaminants in your weighing area while using the scale.

Is this considered class a pharmaceutical scale

No, this is not a class A pharmaceutical grade scale.

Can I measure less than 20 mgs?

You can measure 8 or 10 mgs accurately. However, if you need to measure for example 2 or 3 mgs, then I think you need to buy a more precise instrument for that mg range.

does this measure grains or gn?

The answer to your question is in the item description sir... I am sure of it! However please note that the balance I have (different brand) doesn't measure in gn but will measure .001g. Simply use the conversion .001g=.01543236gr. Truth be told this measure of powder accuracy is far beyond what 99.9% of shooters/reloaders (including myself) would need to account for. the myriad of other variables (case volume, neck tension, case runout, primer selection, seating depth... etc) would have far more potential effect on accuracy than 15 thou of propellant variance. My .02!
