HunterFan Company, 52219, 42 inch Builder Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan with LED Light Kit and Pull Chain

I have had several hunter fans over the years as I am military and move around alot. I will break this down as Pros and Cons as most of the fans I have in my house now cost much more then this. Suddenly due to covid my youngest son had to move home. The room he is living in faces the sun in the morning and gets very hot. I tried to match this fan with the hunter fan I already had in the room next to his. I will show pictuers of both and they are similar only in looks. So the Pros: This Gan was inexpensive. Not cheap! Or cheap made, hunter is a good product. . Fan was sent very fast from this seller. This fan is very easy to install sort of. More about this in the cons. I did not add a remote yet. All the parts were with the fan and it came packaged well. Cons. Well when it came the main down rod I needed to attach to the fan motor was not round . By that I mean it was sort of tear shaped. So I could not install the fan. I called the company and it took 6 weeks to get a replacement part. But they sent me the whole kit which gave me extra ecerything. The people on the pbone were really nice and I don't want to con this but you do want a truth full review. When the part came the fan went up pretty easily after that. Now I must say I am a mechanic and handyman so I don't always need instruction. I have to say make sure you layout the screws and parts before starting. Look at each package for a symbol. Like a triangle or circle and match thouse to the instructions. Its a great idea but I had to go back and look this up after I got started. Balancing the blades was not hard but take your time and read the instructions well. I had never done this before Now performance. The biggest issue is the electric noise coming from the motor. It can be quit loud considering the identical one in my room next to this one is whisper quiet. I do believe part of my problem might be my light switch. The room had a dimmer. So over all it has 3 speeds and my son is happy so I give the Fan a 9 out of 10 for easy of instalation, a 8 out of 10 customer services because it took so long to get the part. And over Fan a 7 out of 10 because of the Noise. Let's see how it holds up over the next few months.

Lights didn't work after install. Fan worked so problem was most likely in the light kit assembly. Disconnected assembly and reconnected it, careful to line up the pins. Still no light. Switched bulbs, no light. Past return window. Went to Hunter fan company. They charge for replacement light assembly, $15. However the part is out of stock so I have to wait to see if they will have more. No way to know when that'll be or if that will even solve the problem. Huge hassle. Contemplating buying a completely different fan, writing off the $100 I spent on this one as a total loss, and pulling this one down. Meantime no light in our bedroom.UPDATE: called Amazon for tech support, they couldn't fix problem but offered a partial refund if there was a cost to me buying a replacement part, and suggested calling manufacturer for free replacements since it is under a 1 year manufacturer warranty. Good suggestion and service from Amazon.Update 2: called Hunter fan company and they were fantastic in helping me resolve the problem. Walked through troubleshooting until they diagnosed the problem. They even sent a small part free of charge that helped eliminate a possible reason. In the end it was me who installed incorrectly even though I've installed these fans before. We all make mistakes sometimes. Fan and lights now work perfectly. Five stars for a product that both Amazon and the manufacturer stand behind.

In stalled this in the nursery and it's stylish and simple. The ceiling is just below 8" and I'm glad I used the 1" downrod because the dangling pulls are just above my head, at about 6". The light is a perfect brightness for the room.Installation wasn't too difficult although I was missing two screws to secure the bracket to the electric box. Ensure you have wire strippers if installing this, the wires are about 3 feet long and unless you have a downrod that long, you'll need to cut and strip. I've never had to strip wires when installing a fan before. I wired the light to the wall switch and the motor on constant power. In packaging, the motor is supposed to be seized by these rubber bushings screwed on where the fan blades go. These were not secure in my box but the motor worked fine.

This fan is beautiful, functional and whisper quiet. I can't believe how affordable it is! The fan and light fixture really upped the styling of my guest room and man, it puts out some wind too. The room in which it was installed is pretty small, around 10 x 12', and it's absolutely perfect. It took my handyman 1 hour from unboxing to walking away. I don't think the bulbs that come with it are all that dim - I like the soft lighting it puts out, but it's definitely enough light. If you're looking for the surface of the sun, you may want to buy different bulbs. I bought the larger version of this + a remote for my media room and it's just as fantastic. I cannot recommend this fan enough. 10 stars!!

Installed myself (I am well past 65) in about 2 hours on a warm day. No serious issues. Instructions were clear until I got to the light kit where I had to back up once. The down shaft it comes with is very short (replaced fan had at least 12" shaft and this one is more like 4") but the fan is cooling the room and quiet.

I always used a 52 inch fan in my room and decided to go smaller with the 42. I absolutely love this ceiling fan. It puts out air better than the bigger fan did. It was easy to install too. I will buy this product again and I recommend it to anyone that needs a ceiling fan. Also it is very, very quiet.

As I retired contractor, I was looking for an appropriately sized fan for a small guest room.It had to be the right size, quiet, bronzeish, the fact that it was a Hunter was a plus. Every other fan in the house is a Hunter.No one could quibble with the price. Great value for the money, and I didn’t have to drive anywhere to get it!

Love this fan. It was fairly easy to install, with all the parts packaged and well marked. The instructions were easy to understand. This is a replacement fan in our master bedroom and we love how it is so quiet. On low, which is where we usually run it, there is no noise and just the right amount of air flow. One little problem, the pull chain for the speed control was binding on 5he light fixture and broke off inside the light structure when we pulled on it (this was within the first week after installation.). Called Hunter and they said it would be at least three-four months before a new one was sent out (due to Covid). I ordered a new one from Amazon, and although it was an added cost, it has worked great now with no issues.

I first bought one fan for the bedroom and was so happy with it, that I bought another one for the living room and the children's room.Before I decided to spend a little more money and go with this company, I got a cheap fan, but it showed: the whole fan wobbled and was noisy and not very effective.This one is easy to install with a step by step manual with pictures.The fan is very quiet and not wobbly at all. It creates a great airflow, in fact, I never even needed the highest setting. It appears quality made and I had no issues since I bought the first one a year ago. I'll stick with this company.

Once again our A/C is delayed in being turned on by building management. This fan has filled the void nicely in our bedroom. It is virtually noise free, and well priced. Even comes with the energy saver light bulbs for the light kit. Would suggest the purchase (extra) of a hand held remote control for easy control of fan speeds and light.

This Hunter Fan once again met our expectations when it comes to good quality materials, quite operation and ease of installation. It's a classic design that looks great in our log cabin cottage bedroom. Highly recommend Hunter Fans.

Easy to install, took about an hour to take the old down and install this one. Very quiet and smooth operation . Really like the style and the classy appearance it gives to the entryway .
