BISSELL Proheat Essential Carpet Cleaner and Carpet Shampooer, 1887,Black

We live in a rental that had never had the carpets cleaned. I don't think they ever vacuumed either. On top of that, half the carpet is 40 year old shag carpeting and the other half is almost black industrial carpet hiding God knows how many stains. After living in the house for a year, with cats, and vacuuming and spot cleaning, I had to break down and buy a carpet cleaner. After researching, I settled on this model. It was very affordable and when we got it, it was easy to put together and get started with.After some experimentation, I figured out that I had to clean the carpet once with cleanser and then redo it with a hot rinse immediately after. Even then, the rinse water still comes up filthy but the carpet is visibly MUCH cleaner and they don't smell terrible. Since the carpets have been so neglected for so long, I imagine I'll need to do the wash + rinse combo at least three more times per area to finally get clean rinse water. It will be allot of hard work but I can't wait until I know for a fact that they're properly clean.The machine itself seems fairly well made BUT the latch on the water reservoir is very flimsy. Also, the holder for the hand brush simply won't hold the brush properly so when I'm cleaning it's constantly popping off at the worst times and it is very annoying. The main agitator brush doesn't seem to do much of anything and the hand brush does not spin at all. Also, it only seems to suck up a little more than half of what gets sprayed down. Still, it DOES get allot of dirt up and seems to get the job done. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I owned one of these about 20 years ago. It did a decent job back then so I decided to get this one. It comes well packaged and is easy to assemble. The quality is the same. I mention it to save you time looking for them during the assembly.Overall: Can't beat it for the price. The Bissel cleaning solution I purchased is pet and human friendly which is a big plus for me. If you need something to clean one room at a time or spot clean furniture this is for you.

This cleaner is easy to use, maneuvers well, and does a good job. It is not a deep cleaner or stain remover. It will keep the carpets looking good with regular use and grab stuff if used immediately, but it does not deep clean well. The carpet comes away pretty dry after use, meaning it sucks up most the water.

So worth the money. Exactly like the picture and cleans my carpet well. Item is an investment. Easy to ensemble and easy to clean. I normally treat my carpet before I shampoo (simply spray the suborn spots and let lit at least an 1 hour and clean). I also doesn't leave your carpet damp and within 24 hours I am able to put my furniture back in it's place - house looking brand new. I also Scotchgarde my carpet after I shampoo

It cleaned the carpet very well. Pulled up a lot of deep dirt. Every stain was removed, oxyclean helped. The living spaces smell fresher and I guess healthier, if that makes sense. Maybe there was some mold, and the oxyclean kills it, while this machine removed it.Cleaning the machine after use isn’t too tough, just takes a bit of effort to get the gunk out of a couple of tight spots, but a shower hose with spray options makes it easier. As far as suction goes, it is pretty strong, not as good as a commercial cleaner obviously, but going over the same spot multiple times gets the same result. I’m not referring to the actual carpet itself getting dried, but the spongy foam pad under the carpet. It seems like the weight of the machine is just barely enough to help cause a bit of a squish to it along with the suction to pull the water out. Hence really working the same area over multiple time is for the best. The carpet was dry enough to walk on within 30 - 60 mins, and then furniture was next up.

I bought this because one of my grandchildren had vomited all over the carpeting. I figured it was going to cost quite a bit to rent a cleaner, maybe half of what this cost to purchase. So, I decided this will not be the last time someone throws up on the carpeting so I might as well purchase it. I felt it was a fairly reasonable price. Let’s just say that this was quite a mess. I am going to be totally honest, Because I really appreciate peoples honest reviews. This thing was amazing. It worked so well. It was easy to put together for me. It cleaned very well, and there was a lot of red in what needed to be cleaned, and the red is all gone. I was impressed how close to the wall it went. I have carpeting upstairs and on my stairs, but not on my main floor. I know that this one is smaller than some, But since my entire house is not carpeted, it works really well for me. I am extremely impressed and heartily recommend this.

fácil de ensamblar y poner en funcionamiento, en cuanto a su desempeño:limpia bien sin llegar a ser espectacular, pero el deposito al ser muy pequeño hay que estar preparando mas producto, lo que si es un hecho es que el poder de secado no es tan bueno, deja todavía bastante humedad la alfombra pero poniendo un ventilador o abanico podrás secar la alfombra sin problemasen resumen recomiendo lo siguiente, si la alfombra esta muy sucia tállala primero con un cepillo y jabóndespués ya usa la maquina,para secar tu alfombra en interiores:sécala lo mas que puedas con la maquina, después si tienes una aspiradora normal dale una buena pasada para recojer lo mas que puedas de liquido, luego pones un abanico directamente en tu alfombra y listosi la alfombra o tapete es pequeña omite el paso del abanico y secala con una secadora de cabellono dejes humeda tu alfombra en interiores porque va a despedir un olor a humedad desagradable

Buen producto, deja muy limpias las alfombras, sólo que con el aditamento para limpiar los muebles se batalla un poco para que queden completamente limpios,. La máquina algo pesada. Utilice el limpiador que recomiendan de la misma marca.

Lave un tapete mediano de color claro muy rápido y lo dejo casi seco en muy poco tiempo. Es fácil de armar y de usar. Viene con un frasco chico de jabón limpiador por lo que si vas a lavar grandes superficies, es recomendable comprar un frasco grande aparte para que te alcance.Debes de llenar el depósito con agua caliente para más eficiencia pero no en ebullición.

Venía golpeada la máquina, pero si funciona...
