Works as expected
It seemed to work very well. Started with no magnetic brake, as it comes out of the box. Backlashes, as expected. Turned up the magnetic brake to '5', no more backlash. Turned it down to '3', still no backlash, and better cast length. No fishing yet, so can't comment on the drag, yet.

Really great looking reel that is really responsive to big fish. Use for both fresh and salt water effortlessly.

Is this reel even new?!
Ordered this reel looking forward to a great new addition to my kit.Upon opening this reel has signs of corrosion and use/damage which is clearly apparent in my pictures.Never received a product in this kind of condition before.... No idea if this is refurbished or fell off the back of a truck! Not impressed! 😤

Lightweight, sturdy
Nice reel, lightweight but well built. Set the brakes correct and you'll have no problems with backlash. Drag is a little light, even when tightened all the way but it's handled fluke and stripers up to 29" so far.
