I bought this for a workmate who suspected a neighbor was gaining entry and stealing stuff from their flat. It caught them red handed and the footage is now with the police. As for the device, it just looks like a usb charger and you can't tell it's a camera. Video quality isn't particularly good as it uses the old mjpeg format and is pretty low resolution (I'm guessing 640x480 upscaled) with noisy video particularly in low light. It's a bit fiddly to set up as well. Having said all that, it was good enough to identify the thief so it did the job asked of it, hence 5 stars.

Where do I start?When product was assembled,(plug base to camera body push fit together) & plugged into a wall socket, an arcing sound in camera body could be heard! When unplugged a slight electrical burning smell from camera body was noticed!On closer inspection the body & plug are not very secure when connected, therefore an internal loose electrical connection is made causing the arcing & a potential fire!The product box says it has CE & RoHS approval, I seriously doubt this! As there is no visible fuse protection in the plug base? Which in turn means no short circuit/overload protection!! Therefore, the above instance would eventually have led to a fire if not noticed & switched off!!Also, good luck trying to make sense of the English translated instructions!!In my opinion this product should be removed from sale at Amazon & any other outlets...... A typical cheaply & dangerous, Chinese made product that shouldn't be on sale......

It’s a good idea and it has two functions. It charges my phone at night so all good there. The picture quality is ok and does what I need it to do. Reliability of motion detection could be better and when in play back it has a tendency to freeze the screen. Which is very annoying as you can still hear the sound. I would not but again unfortunately as I am going to seek alternatives.

Instructions so small not even a magnifying glass helped.

Great product, super easy to use and very subtle.

Camera does come with the SD card as ordered so unable to use. Instructions always almost impossible to understand.

This is interesting as a security camera, I have sockets that are all low level and therefore its capturing nothing but ankles as they walk past. The video quality itself isnt bad and the motion detection ok but frankly its useless to anyone who doesnt have sockets at least 1m from the ground.

This product constancy does not stop making a buzzing sound
