I really like the way that the german text is included in the book. I feel that Mr. Fagnon did a stand-up job on this and it was interesting to look over. As it is a manual, it doesn't read like a book. Very intriguing content.

The book contains German and English translation. Page for page. Left is German, right is English. It would be a very very very small but informative manual. Most modern manuals will have information contained here, the historical value is greatly appreciated.

This manual is a superb example, and accurate translation. of a hitherto unknown war document. Many of its principles incorporate techniques of guerilla warfare later adopted by all elite NATO formations worldwide (US Navy Seals, US Army Green Berets, US Marines, British SAS Commandos) and therefore it is critical to have a copy in any high-quality military library. Absolutely superb piece of work.

The SS Werewolf Combat Instruction Manual, is actually pretty insightful. While most technical manuals and FMs tend to a bit of a yarn before you actually get the gold nuggets, you can say one thing for the Germans - they are all about Efficiency and getting to the point. While I don't know much about German translation, I believe Michael Fagon did his part to the best of his ability.An overview of the formation of the SS Werwolf and how its roots go much further back than the fascist Third Reich. Very simple and easy to under illustrations. You don't have to be a fan of Nazi Germany to see the wisdom in this early work of asymmetric warfare.if you look old military manuals and a touch of history, by all means add this puppy to your collection. Definitely a good price for a classic.
