Yes, it is 70 lb (114 gsm). It would be fine for pencil or charcoal caricatures. If you plan on using permanent marker or pen and ink, you might consider the 300 Series Bristol Board instead. It will be a smoother surface that will prevent the ink from feathering.

Yes, at the top. And under the metal spiral is a holed tear line on each page. Mine is 340-9, 9 in. X 12in., 50 sheets.

No,sharpie markers won't bleed through.

From what I can tell, it looks to be an east to west grain.
