You can use it as a continuous drive, similar to a cnc lathe or as a indexing head, similar to a milling dividing head. I could not code for both Y axis and rotary axis together as I was restricted to using the Y axis as a Y axis or as the rotary axis. If you need to use the Y axis while rotary indexing, I suggest you use a DRO, maybe a vernier readout, to produce the distance moved, while you manually move the Y axis.

Ich hab die günstigste Variante genommen, da das Fräsen mit Rotationsachse für mich völliges Neuland ist. Der Reitstock ist halt die Sparvariante, das Backenfutter aber TOP. Ich habe am Anfang nicht kapiert das die Spannbacken eine Reihenfolge haben, ist mir aber dann schon klar geworden. Schrittmotor funktioniert super, musste ihn lediglich ein bisschen lockern, damit sich der Riemen nicht so toll spannt und er sich leichter dreht. Verwende einen X-Carve Controller, Achtung: Strom am Controller sprich Treiber richtig einstellen nicht vergessen. Alles im allen tolles Teil um den Preis, habe schon lange nach so einem Teil gesucht!

Adding a fourth axis to you cnc machine can be a huge plus. Especially if you want to make table legs or poll designs.
