Best disposal I've ever owned
We've been in our new-to-us house for 3 years. The existing disposal developed an internal leak. Rather than fix it, it was time to replace it. Did my research and found this.I could not he happier. It looks great, was easy to install, great value for the money, and works well.My old one would clog the output line when grinding up potato peels. So of course, grinding potato peels was one of the first things I tried. No problem doing that whatsoever. And, it's quiet. My old one sounded like a Boeing 707 on takeoff. Not this. It is the quietest disposal I've ever had or heard. My only issue, which really isn't an issue, is that things do not easily make it past the included rubber splashback thingy. It comes with a stopper, which doubles as a "push stuff past the rubber splashback thingy" device. But what I often do, is just take the rubber thingy out, allowing the food to fall freely into the grind area, put the rubber thingy back in, and then grind.Even with that, I would definitely buy this again.

I like it
This works great. Hooked it up to my air button for on and off that works great. The only problem I had was my old age. It showed big time here. Along with a bad back I worked until my back hurt, get for the day to continue the next day. Yes, it took me two days to install this but I took many breaks due to the back problems.I do highly recommend this Kraus garbage disposal. Stainless Steel grinders and walls/floor. Quite also. Even though it's under the sink in a cabinet enclosure it is a good looking machine.

Quiet but certainly not “almost silent”
Replaced a 20+ year old insinkerator 1/4HP. Was replacing the sink with a Kraus sink and faucet and this looked good, made especially attractive by the “near silent” reviews. It was much taller (height) than the one it replace. Notably a very plastic design compared to the metal insinkerator it was replacing. It was especially nice that it had a rubber seal for use with stainless steel sinks and as both were Kraus this was both beautiful and easy.An unexpected challenge was the dishwasher hookup with the dishwasher connection on the opposite side to the original. This made connecting the pipe from the air gap perhaps the biggest challenge, and unexpected last minute trips to Lowes and Home Depot. Current pipes available either kink or are very stiff. Finally i managed to get one of the stiff “soak to make flexible” pipes work, but this was almost a show stopper and nearly required a specialized pipe order online. It comes with a short electric chord pre-wired with three prong plug, it was only just long enough, i would have liked it to be a few inches longer to rout nicely. You can hard wire it/replace it if you want to.End result is fine, it is much quieter than the old insinkerator, but it’s certainly not silent.Overall I’m very happy. Be careful if you have an airgap to make sure that’s not going to present an unexpected challenge with the pipe. The dishwasher hookup is above the drain outlet.

Quitest disposal I have ever had
I don't normally rave about products, but this is an exception. I have had probably 8-9 different disposals in various homes throughout my life and this is BY FAR the BEST.It is much smaller diameter than others I have had or installed. So takes up a lot less space under the sink. Also easier to install.Quiet? OMG this is SOOO QUIET. If it isn't grinding food you barely know it's running. Even when grinding food it is super quiet. Ridiculously quiet, especially for one that that is this strong. It has no problem grinding anything that I would put in there, and does so quickly. The only thing I don't like about it is the drain opening is too restricted. Water will back up into the sink pretty easily. I even got scissors and trimmed the center sections of the drain to open it up a little more for better drainage. This did help, but also made it slightly louder. I still think it was a good tradeoff.I have had this for about 6 months, but that is pretty short time for a disposal, so I can't speak to the longevity. Hopefully it will last for many years.Overall I would say it is a great product and I highly recommend it.

Just OK
Nice and quiet. My only complaint is that the rubber part that the food goes through to get to the disposal leaves no room for food to go through without me shoving it down with a wooden spoon or something.

Silent
Modern look. Pretty pusher/stopper. And seriously the most quiet disposal I’ve ever had

You get what you pay for!
I would not buy this product again. It was difficult to install and very inexpensively made. The top of the disposal attaches to the bottom of your sink, (unlike my old unit that attached with a metal ring) and uses the rubber gasket as a snap ring.. Upon attaching the external downspout to dump the garbage to your piping, one of the screws slipped and fell inside the unit. The unit had to be removed and taken apart to get the screw back out. The motor looks very small compared to my old unit and it does not have the Allen head crank tool to unbind jams. The instructions tell you to use a broom handle to break loose clogs. It does have a reset button. I have installed over a dozen garbage disposals, and this by far has been the most difficult and delicate install.
