I don't remember when I bought two of these tires. We were living in another state, the kids were babies, and I was cycling to work (and grocery shopping) everyday. I estimate the time to be somewhere from 8 to 10 years. I don't remember having a single puncture since then. I haven't been commuting and have been just a casual rider in the last six years. I got so used to not having punctures that when people tell me about getting punctures, I think they are doing something wrong, and I can't even remember the dreadful feeling of getting punctures. I have no affiliation with Schwalbe. These are just the best tires I have ever used. I am back to replace my back tire (because I will be touring this winter break!) and thought I should express my appreciation. The current back tire started showing signs of age (no threads on the tip of the tire, the rubber on the sides is peeling off), but I can probably continue to use it for a while. I just don't want to get a puncture at the middle off nowhere, under rain etc. So I will purchase one to replace the back tire. I will probably put the old one back after the tour, until it completely falls a part, and reserve the new one for tours. The front tire still has threads and I will not replace it.Oh btw, I almost always ride on cycling trails or on the road, so no rough treatment. Perhaps that's part of the reason why I could use these tires for too long. Regardless, I think you can't expect anything more than I experienced from a bicycle tire.

This junk tire popped 2 tubes. I took tire off and noticed a wire from the tire had broken from the inside. It seems to be a good tire but not if this wire broke after less than 200 miles. I didnt use a lever to install. I just used my bare hands and worked it on. Inflated to mid recommended pressure. It just ripped apart. Garbage. QC has gone down the tubes.To top it off, it was sold be CYCLE PROS. They suck. Worst company ever, didnt even want to hear what or why it happened. Just said "Out of return period". They suck worse than the tire. Sorry for the rant, but I'm out $60 and CYCLE PROS dont care about customers.

Bought a pair for my wife; guess what? No flats after 3 months of riding over glass, thorns, and I'm sure a metal shard here and there. In all fairness, I also purchased the most heavy duty tube known to mankind. But hey, got tired of fixing flats on the roadside. So far, so good. Wifey loves them. LOL, it's not like she's fixing the flats. She wouldn't think of getting her nails dirty. But then again like most husbands I'm house broke. Mama's happy and the world is happy. Of course me too, cuz I'm not fixing her flats anymore.

One of the best touring tires you can get PERIOD!
