I love these, whenever I run out, I have to hunt for someone who sells them so I can buy a year's supply. They also make them for chicken. You just poke it into the meat, wait a few seconds, pull it out, and it tells you whether it is done, or how well done. I find most metal thermometers do not work well if you just have a single serving to test and they take a long time. This is perfect for one thick steak, or an individual meatloaf.

Always use these when cooking, can be used again until the meat is the correct temperature which I didn't realize at first and always threw them away after the first try. I trust these more than my metal thermometer

These little food testers are so good. The process of making sure my cooked food has reached the right internal temperature using these little sticks is much faster than my other thermometers. I can only get them through Amazon since my grocery store stopped carrying them.
