Quality built box but mine has a freeze issue while watching movies
I lied the memory and video quality, but take away 2 stars because it always seems to freeze around 2/3-3/4 of the way thru the movie. I then have to get out and click back on the movie to play the remainder of it. I also have a Qbox with less memory but don't seem to ever have this problem with that one! There is an option to clear the memory (which I constantly do) but it doesn't seem to help.Pro - Quality built nice box and remote works really well as opposed to the QBox (the QBox remote is cheaply made and you have to stand very close to the box to make it work)!Con - Movies seem to freeze late in movies (memory issue?) even though this box has more memory than most comparable boxes

My overpriced cable subscription is sooo gone!
More-or-less does what it says it will. Tends to drop the wifi connection, I've needed to power cycle it on occasion to get everything working again. My wi-fi signal is good quality, router is dual band b/g/n ac. (March 2017 update about connection issues: I finally ran a LAN cable from my router (gigabit speed capable) out to my home theater location. Now as a hard wired connection instead of relying on wireless, most of the flakiness has disappeared)Many dead feeds but lots of good ones too. Some content providers come & go, but many have been stable. Content is available for free from all around the world and in many languages. Most of the feeds are acceptable quality, many are 1080p HD. Mine feeds my AVR via HDMI and works just fine with my 7.1 surround setup.Definitely a learning curve here, sometimes maddeningly so, but if you like tinkering then these devices are pretty cool. Definitely a TON of content available from a large and growing KODI community. BUT... some of it is hype, don't expect to be able to watch live PPV boxing matches, major ESPN events or live HBO etc without subscribing to those services. The remote is very basic, not always as responsive as expected. Tried an 'air mouse' with a miniature keyboard on the back, I'm NOT impressed with it. I'm going to later supplement that with a full size Bluetooth or wifi keyboard w/built-in touchpad or trackball, which will let me use the internet browser and do other stuff AT LEAST 10x faster than via the lousy remote and air mouse. Until then I'll keep cursing, as is some functions are way beyond annoying. (March 2017 update - bought the 'full' size Logitech Bluetooth keyboard, the much less expensive one without backlit keys. While it's miles better than the remote or air mouse it isn't as good as expected, Logitech quality is usually very good, this one falls short in that area, feels cheap & fragile)If you want a slick finished and simple-to-use out of the box solution, one with millions of R&D dollars behind it then get a Fire TV, Roku or Apple. BUT, those boxes will NOT provide anywhere near the same amount of free content that these Andriod XMBC/KODI devices make available.Just installed an outdoor TV antenna and now get all the major networks through that, plus about 35 other broadcast stations. I also have an Amazon Prime subscription, between those and this Andriod box I now have ZERO need for overpriced CATV or a satellite dish services.

TV Box Amlogic TX8
I really love this TV Box, the only thing I hate about it is that it came with all kinds of pre-laoded add-ons that were not wanted or needed. I have since uninstalled the KODI program and re-installed the 4 repositories that I know I wanted. Other than the pre-loaded issue this is a great box. I thought there would be an issue of the box over heating since there are NO vent holes. Turns out it never gets hot, at least not yet. I have taken out my DVD player as every DVD I own is not needed, I can watch anything now and not need a DVD player. Great system, I'm still learning the ropes on it though, there are several steps to install repositories! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to cut the cable. I loved the TV show Mad About You and can watch it anytime and all 7 seasons are found. I was going to buy other series but with this no need.

the TX8 performs well and looks nice.
The box works very well as long as you're only using it for KODI. Once you start using it for other android apps you quickly realize 2gb of ram is not enough. Also, outside of using Kodi you will need a mouse. Other than the few items mentioned, the TX8 performs well and looks nice.

Better than other S912 box we tried
Cut to 3 stars, due to lack of any update. Not one update. My phone has Andriod 9, Ninkbox has Android 6 with no security updates. I must wonder how busy this box is watching us, making bitcoin for not me or what? Not even 1 security update.Works well. Runs Kodi quickly. Perfect videos, stays in 1080p mode, unlike some previous streamers. Runs Pureflix OK. Netflix app runs perfectly.Has 3 USB ports.

Works great for Kodi
Works great for Kodi, using 'No Limit' build after shakeup and runs awesome. Only problem I have is that it won't connect my Google Play Music subscription. Will connect everything else i.e. Youtube Red. Reset and gave it to my kid, and bought a Nexbox which runs everything... If you want a Kodi box it's OK, bu if you want a full Android Box look elsewhere...

Best Choice for entertainment !
Wow really wow!! This has been the best $ spent on entertainment all year!! Great function and speed. I would recommend getting a mini keyboard to make using it easier.
