Belkin Notebook Cush Desk - Espresso/Denim

I use this all the time when I’m working from my couch and wanting to have my computer on my lap. The cushion is soft and sturdy so you won’t lose your laptop. Excellent purchase!

This is sturdy and comfortable product made by Belkin. My daughter has had one of these for years and it still looks great. It is big enough for my laptop but also such a light and comfortable cushion that I use it for writing in my journal and reading as it's nice to rest a book on instead of having to hold it. I had bought another brand but returned as the cushions were not comfortable on my legs.

Assuming you can still purchase one of these, it is excellent as a barrier between your lap and the laptop. So many manufacturers try and fail to make a comfortable surface for the legs for these laptop lap desks and fail. More often than not, they are hot and make you feel like you're wearing sweatpants. The breathable mesh fabric on these are great. This model is flatter and bigger than the original Belkin Cushdesk, which was amazing and yet to be surpassed, but it is still a good find if you can get one.

So many lapdesks come with varying ports and lamps and all kinds of bells and whistles that I didn't ask for. This is exactly what I wanted, it's big enough for my laptop and for my sentro 48-pin knitting machine, and I'm honestly contemplating ordering a backup. If all you want is a cool, flat surface, this is absolutely what you need.

I bought this for my mom since I have been using mine for many years (8-10?). Very firm cushion, topped with a durable hard plastic that won't flex or break. There's a rubberized narrow bumper to keep the laptop from sliding. Perfectly angled. The quality is phenomenal. The size is perfect for a 17" laptop. The problem will be finding one since they aren't made any more. The one I got mom was shipped from Italy.

For some reason it's almost impossible to find a firmly padded, hard-top lap desk. This one is great. Bought two. Warning: these cannot be found in the USA so come from the UK - meaning a month or more.

Just Love This Thing!! Real Comfortable!!

I LOVE this product. I have owned one for about 12 years. I love it so much, I ordered another this year (2020) for my son to use for gaming with his keypad and mouse. It came from the UK with a damaged corner. It will cost as much as I paid ($35) to send it back, and Amazon will only refund $20 of that. And now it costs $40 to reorder. So sending back for a replacement will cost me an additional $20. :( UPDATE: Ordered another at same time for a friend. Arrived today. Also with busted corner. Disappointing. Changing review from 3-star to 1-star.

I bought this so that I can work easily on my lap and also to be able to watch films without having the sound muffled by the speakers which are underneath my pc - thanks to the people who replied to my product question about this issue, prior to my purchase. I have another Belkin product so know that they are decent looking and well made. I am pretty sure that the Cush Desk is going to be very useful indeed. It is light weight, nice looking, well enough made, large enough to use a mouse on. The cushion underneath means that it is comfortable to have on your lap, no need to sit particularly straight to have a typing surface and no heat from the pc. The rigid faux leather surface on top is smooth and nice to the touch and is an ideal surface to work on. There is a small ridge on which to rest the computer so it doesn't slip around. And ideally, sound is not muffled when listening to audio. I think that this is a great addition to my set up, works well, looks decent and is reasonably priced.

*** ACHTUNG: Diese Rezension war ja nun von September 2012, und die Kritik bzgl. der Behauptung, dass es ein "Kühlpad" wäre, bezog sich also auf die damals falsche Beschreibung, die über Jahre im Titel unverändert zu lesen war, alle positiven Aspekte stimmen natürlich noch immer, habe erst kürzlich noch ein weiteres Cushdesk bestellt ... und in der Zwischenzeit wurde der Titel "Kühlpad" ja nun glücklicherweise (endlich!) gelöscht. Die Haltbarkeit ist jedenfalls phänomenal, kaum zu glauben, aber wahr: es sieht heute noch aus wie neu – 5 Jahre später! *** Es ist/war total irreführend (von AMAZON), diese Unterlage im Titel mit dieser Eigenschaft als *FEATURE* zu bewerben, denn diese Unterlage hat weder eine aktive noch eine wie auch immer geartete passive Kühlung anzubieten. Dieses Cushdesk verhindert zwar, dass Laptops ihre Hitzewallungen auf den User übertragen, jedoch verhindert diese Unterlage keinesfalls die Überhitzung des Laptops selbst – ergo ist es definitiv _KEIN_ KÜHLPAD. Ansonsten ist das Belkin *Cushdesk* genau das, was der englische Originalname sagt: nämlich eine Mischung aus Kissen und Schreibtisch – nur: von einer wie auch immer gearteten Kühlfunktion ist auf der Verpackung im englischen Originaltext und auch in der deutschen Übersetzung nicht das Geringste zu lesen! Aber die Hitze des Laptops hält diese Unterlage tatsächlich schon sehr gut ab, keine komischen Schmerzen mehr am Oberschenkel ... Dieses Cushdesk ist wirklich SEHR sauber verarbeitet, vom verwendeten Material her total solide, sehr angenehm anzufassen und dazu noch bis heute (11/2017) an keiner Stelle brüchig oder sonst wie verändert, sieht also nach wie vor gepflegt und immer noch modern aus. Der straffe Stoffbezug der aufliegenden unteren Hälfte fühlt sich sehr angenehm und überhaupt nicht schwitzig an, passt sich dem Oberschenkel an und liegt, auch dank der kleinen Schrägung auch noch sehr gut auf – kein Vergleich mit anderen Schoßauflagen! Als Langzeitunterlage – insbesondere für Laptops, die ein echtes Erhitzungsproblem haben, und infolgedessen gerne mal Knall auf Fall mal ausgehen – ist die Belkin-Variante nicht mehr oder weniger geeignet als andere Unterlagen auch, mal abgesehen von denen, die dann tatsächlich einen aktiven Kühler an Bord haben – die gibts natürlich auch. Diese Belkin-Unterlage ist von daher eher eine Hitze-Barriere, aber immerhin eine, die sehr gut funktioniert. Mein 17 Zöller hält auf dieser Unterlage, allerdings ist er an der vorderen Unterseite auch eckig. Mein kleineres Laptop, ein vorne gerundetes ASUS, rutscht aber leider sofort herunter: während man tippt, muss man mit den Handinnenflächen gegenhalten. Das könnte natürlich auch daran liegen, dass das ASUS von vorne unten leicht gerundet ist, aber sicher auch daran, dass die schmale Rückhalteleiste wohl für dieses Gerät nicht hoch genug ist. Für Abhilfe sorgt nun ein unter dem Laptop angeklebter "Gegenwulst". **** ERGÄNZUNG 02/2016: Für mein Lenovo YOGA Tablet Pro 2 mit einem ausklappbaren Stand ist diese Unterlage dank Rückhalteleiste geradezu ideal, und zwar in beiden Richtungen: der Metallstand hält im Lesemodus super an der gummierten Leiste. Die Unterlage sieht auch heute noch unverändert aus – sehr gute Haltbarkeit !! **** FAZIT Wenn man die vorgebliche Kühlfunktion aber außer Acht lässt, gibt es neben der gefälligen Optik einen weiteren Aspekt, der die Anschaffung von diesem Cushdesk rechtfertigt: dieser mobile "Tisch" wird von mir auch schon mal als echte Schreibunterlage genutzt oder anstelle der bis dato üblichen Kissenunterlage als mobiler Esstisch zweckentfremdet – easy-care Oberfläche sei Dank. Ginge es nur darum, bekäme das Belkin Cushdesk 5 Sterne. Dafür. :) Nachdem mein Cushdesk also auch anderweitig zum Einsatz kommt, habe ich es gerne behalten – und da es wieder einmal "nur" an der Amazon-Beschreibung und somit weder am Produkt, noch am Hersteller hängt, HATTE ich ursprünglich einen Stern abgezogen, in der korrigierten Fassung gibt es natürlich volle & verdiente 5 Sterne, Langzeittest bestanden.

Le compré este soporte de portatil a mi novia, ella hace uso del portatil a modo de ocio y claro, de esta manera pocas veces lo usas en una mesa, sino en la cama o incluso en el sofá. Ahora llegó el verano y como es normal, entre el calor que hace y el del portatil se moría de calor. Aparte, el portatil se sobrecalienta más fácil en superficies que no son una mesa, pues se tapan sus ventiladores y demás.. Finalmente encontré este soporte, me pareció el más adecuado en calidad-precio y acerté completamente. Es sencillo y robusto, se nota que los materiales son de calidad. La parte inferior es firme pero cómoda, no es endeble como en otros con "bolitas", dado que esto puede producir inestabilidad y tirar el portatil. Respecto a la parte superior el portatil agarra bastante adherencia en su superficie y dispone de una barra de goma para evitar el deslizamiento. El tamaño es totalmente adecuado para un portátil medio (unas 15"), es un acierto, más grande podría suponer que fuera demasiado dificil de manejar e inestable. Quizá con un ultraportatil o tablet te quepa un ratón para usarlo. En todo caso, este tipo de soporte los veo más para un uso casual y para nada lo recomiendo para el gaming o trabajo (si vas a usar ratón).. Si lo quieres para esto te recomiendo una mesa supletoria adaptable, yo tengo una y me va bien para su uso ocasional. Este soporte puede tener otras muchas otras funciones, solo hay que echarle imaginación: un juego de mesa, incluso un plato de comida con cuidado.. te dejo que tú la descubras :) En conclusión, muy contentos, se lleva la máxima puntuación al darnos justamente lo que esperábamos de ella. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************* ¡Muchas gracias por leerme!
