Why buy a phone that doesn't actually receive cell signal???
This device is pretty useless as a phone. I am used to unlocked phones as I have been using BLU for a couple of years now and like my Studio C. It was just time for an upgrade and the Doogee x5 Max Pro seemingly offered more features for a little less money. I read several reviews. I watched several videos and couldn't find much negative other than the phones come pre-loaded with malware from the factory. There wasn't much long term reviews out there. When I got the phone and activated it, the internal cellular antenna sucks. I was in my office, on the ground floor, about 50 yards from the outside and it wouldn't detect the cell service. I went outside and it finally connected. Throughout the day I could receive or send calls/texts unless I left my office and walked near the glass door to the outside. At the end of the day I went into another building and the cell signal was completely gone again. After I got home, I received an old text and had about 3/4 signal, but it wouldn't send out my response. I walked outside and held the phone in the air and it wouldn't send the message. After 9 hours of basic messaging and web surfing the battery was down to 40% (no video streaming or gaming). Part of the reason I bout the phone was its 4000mA battery; didn't live up to the hype. The WiFi signal was ok, but had to find the iP address several times walking around my work building that just finished updating its WiFi infrastructure. The screen wasn't as receptive as advertised and had to press things a few time to make it work. I was using AT&T 3G network and the frequencies advertised for this phone should have worked just fine. Sadly, I bought 3 of these for me and my family in the Philippines. I had to go back to my old 2 year old BLU Studio. I will give the others to my family and pray they actually work as phones. If not, I'll have to buy different phones altogether. Sad that Amazon would sell a product so bad. When I get enough money again, I'll buy another BLU. Even though they started out of the country, most of the ones made for here are assembled in the US. I can't even send them in for refund because I'm leaving in two days and promised my family something until I can get one that works....

Died after 9 months
Unfortunately the device did not turn on anymore after 9 months of use. Otherwise it was a good phone while it lasted. Maybe you'd have better luck but I think it's worth mentioning this. However the seller was very helpful and I could get a refund after sending the phone back.

Good screen and battery
I give it 5 stars because for the price it is already understood that it is a mid-range terminal, and in this aspect it is one of the best I have tried in this range. The phone has a sleek and beautiful design, with chrome edges and a rubber-like feel at the back. The price fits well to what is paid in terms of features and manageability. Performs well for the price you pay.As for real features, comes with dual sim (macro and micro), SD slot for expandable memory up to 32 gb. Processor of 1.3 with 2 gb of Rom and 16gb (12gb real for the use) of Ram.5 "screen (to emphasize the screen that has a HD resolution of very good quality)It has Android 6.0 (I suppose it can be updated) and has a decent enough removable battery of 4000mAh (for the whole day of use half of leftovers)It has 4G connectivity and good quality wifi. As for this aspect nothing to comment on as it works perfectly. It has a camera that the truth surprises, not that it is extremely professional but shoots well. It has 5 mpx the front, which I particularly think has very good quality of selfie and, 8mpx the back that in light conditions makes a fantastic photos but loses enough as soon as the light starts to become scarce (although for that is playing with some app Camera to help) Rear LED flash. As for how it behaves in use, I have to say that it is fast and fluid. Uncut, with multiple apps on and jumping between them. No problems in games or browsing. It goes to the marvels if like me you only want to give an average use.If the screen is 2 points as far as touch is concerned and it is better to re-calibrate it, so that we do not have problems. The best is the screen certainly looks good in any condition, I was very surprised, since it has nothing to envy to the high end. In addition, the speakers come in the frame of the bottom, which improves the sound when we are watching videos, thus has no obstacle of exit if we support it.The fingerprint sensor on the back is good, if it fails to recognize on occasion, but 95% of the time it works without problems. The quality of the call is excellent, it is heard and we hear wonderful, both in headset and hands-free. And as I said the connectivity is excellent and there are no problems of cuts.It comes with some apps already installed, but few, and this leaves us about 12 gb of memory. If we need more then SD card up to 32 GB or do root and go desistalando.Phone super recommended if you want to give it an average use, perfect screen, high-end mobile features in terms of fingerprint, sound and capacity. Good battery and profitability.Comes with its charger and USB cable and the screen is already protected with a simple screen saver.

Disappointed
It is a budget "phone", but there's a lot to not like for me. I could only get consistent connection at 2G, only able to connect intermittently at 3G and 4G on H2O Wireless (AT&T). Wifi is good, but range on my other phone (Huawei Snapto) is better. I couldn't get a borescope to work with this phone for more than a few seconds before crashing, still need to test other OTG devices. Bluetooth is pretty spotty. Even GPS is spotty. It's plenty fast and the OS is stable with many apps open at once. Speaker is pretty loud. The Micro USB is on top so if you wanted to mount it in a car and power it for long use, it's not as clean. The control bar is permanent, not lit, so seeing it in non fully lit situations is difficult though you'll obviously memorize the layout. Of the 3 Chinese Android devices I've bought, this is second on my list. It's a mobile device for a room in the home, not a device I can reliably use in a car or as a phone.
