MarBlue Clear Screen Protector Kit for the Kindle Fire HD 7 (will only fit 3rd generation)

This cover does what it is supposed to do: it protects your Kindle Fire's screen and reduces the glare - for me it helps stop a lot of the smudgy fingerprints, especially after playing a few rounds of Scramble or Words with Friends. This one was not too hard to line up and put on, either. Please note this screen protector is only for the 2013 version of the Kindle Fire HD.Before you install it, let me point out a couple of things:1. Clean your Fire's screen with the soft cloth that comes with the screen protector. DO NOT use water to assist you, but use a gentle wiping motion with the cloth. Why? You don't want to put the cover over a bunch of fingerprints or miniscule pieces of lint and have your fingerprints / lint memorialized on your Fire!2. Make sure you use the straight-edge that comes with it, or a credit card, to help smooth out the bubbles.3. Be patient, line it up, and go slow! This cover doesn't have much wiggle-room to be slightly off - if you go just a fraction at an angle to one side, you will start covering the Fire's edge / casing vs. the screen. If that happens, slowly back it up and start again.4. Use the straight-edge or a credit card slowly working from the inside / middle to the outside. Be patient, and be consistent or that small bubble will not go away or, worse, the small bubble will become a larger bubble.Overall, this is not too bad and does what it is supposed to do, and I think you would rather have a screen protector vs. a scratched up Fire!

For its purpose, it's great; however, it's tricky to apply. Once down it's down and if it's crooked then oh well. Needless to say, mine is crooked and I can't get the "peel here" sticker off but that is ok since it tells me which side the on/off button is on. It's necessary to protect your kindle. Just take pains to apply it slowly and evenly. My sister said she took her's to Best Buy and had them put it on for her. I don't live near one so I did it myself. Not perfect but not as good as I had hoped it would look.

If I knew how to give this half of a star it would get half of a star. I have installed several screen protectors on various devices and I have never had this much trouble. I spent a good half hour trying to put this screen protector on my daughter's brand new kindle. I took the kindle straight out of the box. It had never been touched. I followed the instructions provided. I used the little card provided to get the air bubbles out. I never could get rid of the air bubbles. The more I worked, the worse it got. Finally I discarded this screen protector and got the second one (they are sold as a two pack). Again I followed the instructions, used the card to push out the air bubbles. This one was better than the first, but there was one corner that still had an air bubble that I could not get rid of, so eventually the air bubbles would spread back across the screen. Very frustrating.... I finally discarded the product altogether and ordered a different one. That one cost $25.00, but I got it from Amazon in 2 days and it worked like a charm. Installed it in 30 seconds. The moral of this story I guess is you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

This screen protector is easier to install than some, but not foolproof. It is best to keep cleaning the screen as the film is applied to avoid getting little dust or fuzz balls underneath - these will cause bubbles that can't be pressed out and if you try removing the film to start over, the balls don't come off. :-( I had to scrap the first film, but the second one went on smoothly with what I'd learned.

First of all, I want too state that all the 1 star/2 star reviews are absolutely ridiculous. People act like installing their screen protector without instructions was a daunting task. It isn't. YES, this screen protector doesn't come with any instructions, but should you really need any?I ended up installing the screen protector and got only ONE air bubble after my first application..and I am absolutely horrible at installing screen protectors. It's also perfectly cut for the tablet and covers everything, including the bezel.Yes, I would purchase this kit again, considering it's a mere $9.99 and comes with two screen protectors, in comparison too what other companies sell (Best Buy sells ONE screen protector for $30.00!)

I bought these screen protectors for my little girl's new Kindle Fire HD. The product was easy to apply (starting from the long side) I only has a couple of very small bubbles form. I had bought other screen protectors from stores for my I-Pad and my son's Nook and they were more expensive and the results were not better than the Marblues. Great product for the price.

Bought the protector with my the order for my new Kindle Fire.Has a tab on back of protector that states take off beforeapplying to Kindle. It is what allows you to separate so thesticky side will go on the screen. The other tab says removewhen through applying to the Kindle. What it doesn't tellyou is how to get the air bubbles out as you apply it to thescreen.To me it appears to cause more glare from a nearby light thanI got without it.

For the price of this item I would call that a steal compared to spending $30 at a retail store. When I received the item I kept searching for instructions that were not included but since I have placed many screen protector before I went with the same routine I do when placing them. I will advise to take your time in placing the screen protector to try to avoid air bubbles.*I WILL RECOMMEND TO WIPE THE SCREEN WITH CLOTH AND USE SOME SCOTCH TAPE TO REMOVE ANY LINT BEFORE PLACING*

There was little in the way of instructions for this item. I know it sounds simple, 'just stick it on', but you need to decide which bit to peel off and stick, are you supposed to peel off the little tab, I presume not. Made a slight hash of fitting the first one, but will do better next time. Having said that it works perfectly well, protects the screen and doesn't affect the performance.

Impossible to apply without getting bubbles or fibres under the protective film.Fine if you live and work in a high grade clean room but otherwise a waste of money.

I should have listened to other reviewers about this product!! It is rubbish, when I tried to separate the clear film to go onto the Kindle the small paper tags used to guide it into place wont come off the film. So this is definitely going back. I don't think I will bother with another screen protector and just use a cloth to clean the screen with, and keep this inside the case.

I found this item to be worse than useless. I fitted it to my Kindle screen as instructed, but it only stayed in place for a very short time. I wasted more time fiddling with it trying to make it stay in place than I spent using the device. It proved so irritating that after a few days, I stopped trying and consigned it to the back of my desk. A complete waste of time and money.

Screen Protector difficult to apply without bubbles and impossible to remove them once applied. Rather disappointing as a suggested add on.
