I gave this product a 4 star rating but I would have given it a 5 because it is really great! With this little product the light goes right where I want it and the magnifiers are excellent.I also ordered the USB power kit so I don't need to use the batteries. I had lots of trouble getting the light to stay on when I used the plug in. The light would flicker and then go out. The plug would loosen up very easily and fall out of the slot.However if I can work the kinks out I would give this unit a 5 star. We will see!

I really love the light that this fits on, but I'm a little disappointed in the magnifying attachment. It is one of those concentric circle types, and I find that I have to continually adjust my head position to use it for reading. It might be fine if you set it up in a stationary position and put your work in front of the light&magnifier combo, but I was hoping to use it around my neck for reading in bed at night. I now use the light for all sorts of things, but this attachment isn't useful for me.

Having just turned 54, my vision is very poor. I have far sightedness and nearsightedness and have had a very difficult time doing my favorite hobbies...crocheting, crewel embroidery, and needlepoint. I was so afraid I would have to stop doing things that required better eyesight, but then this came in the mail. IT IS WONDERFUL!!! I can see all of my work and am so happy that I can continue doing what I love doing...crafts!

Disappointed that it was not what was illustrated on the box. There was no neck band or light.

I was lead to believe by the photo there was something to hang it by and a light. Box came no light no strap to hold it no light just a black thing. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this it item it is not what it shows.

Can't figure out how to use the magnifier with the Beam n Read.

The Light itself is fantastic! But the magnifiers are terrible. They have a textured groove pattern that interferes with the clarity of the item you are trying to see. I wish I would have returned them, but it was not worth the trouble.

This thing is certainly not worth the money. The magnifiers are really crappy and the lighting is poor and doesn't really point to the work at hand. Sorry I bought these, I'll never use them.
