Versatile, handy and ready to shoot quickly.
This mini tripod/vlogging/handle works very well for video and photo shooting on the go. Its compact and light weight so it is very mobile. If you get the version with the pro head attachment, you will be able to remove the camera quickly if you need to go handheld. Its not very tall like a full sized tripod, but will give you a nice stable surface you can set on a table or rail where you need stillness like long exposure or a time lapse. I have used it several times for vlogging or selfies as it can be converted to a selfie stick to help get the camera away from you if you need a wider shot. A nice little touch is a built in cell phone holder. One less accessory you need to have in your pocket. One last versatile part is a retracted peg in one of the legs that forms a hook. With this you can hang the tripod on a vertical surface like a door or box with a top that allows the peg to grip, opening up opportunity for more creative shots. I find as a photographer/videographer I have a billion accessories, and no shortage of small and midsized tripods. This one is used more by me because of the flexibility of its use. I would recommend the model with the pro head (I know its the more expensive one but…) it adds greater adjustments and ease of popping that camera off quickly with the attachment plate.

Great tripod for phone cameras.
If your phone is your camera, this is what you need. Pair this with a phone camera cage (The cage would be able to hold a microphone and/or fill light), attach the provided quick connect to the cage, and you have the base for great photo opportunities.I am using a universal cage that is quick to drop the phone into so when I change my phone I will still be able to use the phone cage. This tripod is adaptable enough to allow you to hold your cage in many different positions and with a remote or timer, you can make use of it as a versatile tripod.Don’t bother with one of those tripods with the bendy legs unless you just like to collect more gear. The only downside is that this isn’t good for mounting your phone to a car window.

This is great for content creators, but be careful regarding Arca compatibility.
Although this is rather expensive, I've used a number of low cost mini-tripods and I think it's just about worth the cost. The Mantispod Pro is certainly very well made. The only real issue I have is regarding using your existing Arca Swiss plates. The Mantispod quick connect works perfectly with my SmallRig cage (which has built-in Arca Swiss), but I also have a NiceyRig bracket which doesn't work at all.The problem is with the little security post in the Mantipod mount - it doesn't allow the NiceyRig to sit in the plate so it won't latch. Not the end of the world, I can use the quick-release plate that came with the Mantispod, but I'd have preferred not to have to.The photo shows the SmallRig cage mounted to MantisPod.

Very well designed. Does nearly everything you'd want.
It's very well built, sturdy. Has a lot of versatility to its design and configurations -- easy to use in different ways. It's mantis hook is the very thing that makes this one better than several like it. That extra little hook is perfect for so many applications when hanging or mounting it from a fence or shelf ledge, etc. It's a great replacement for the more-difficult-to-configure bendy tripod types out there, as long as you don't mind that it doesn't bend or wrap around an object. TIP: search 17-inch foam covered reusable twist ties (which are very light weight, and throw one of those in your camera bag to use in conjunction with this Mantis Pod by wrapping the tie around the pod and a tree branch or pole, when you need a 'wrap' type fit. this allows you to achieve a similar mounting as you can with a bendy tripod type, as long as you do it securely enough.

Awesome but technical
This product is very well built. You will need a day or two of fiddling with it to figure out just how things work and swing unless your a camera pro. But...even as a super novice I got it down and use for my night vision monocular and phone. It's engineering was well thought out. And so compact.

So compact and versatile
I got this paired with the beetle clip because it made it so easy to bring around. I feel much more motivated to capture footage for vlogs with this because of how easy it is to use, it also fits in my sling without too much trouble.I like the ball head mount a lot too, the smartphone mount is stored in one of the legs of the tripod and adjusts so easily too. What’s nice is that I could take this ball head mount to mount my phone to the cold shoe of my camera for some POV footage too.I was a little worried that this tripod would be front heavy since a lot of mirrorless cameras get that way, but mounting the pivot of the ball head mount towards the back really acts like a lens collar to balance the load of the camera. The camera sat much more stable from then. I’m really excited to use this a lot more. It was kind of pricier than other tripods, but the compact versatility it offers is really what you’re paying for.
