Compact and lightweight deterrent for helmet .
As we all know, any form of lock is merely a deterrent. Having said that, I would rather have some kind of a deterrent ( Lock ) on my nice full face helmet while I stop somewhere for lunch or pit stop. The coiled cable is just like advertised and Q&A responses. Lightweight and compact to carry in pocket or on bike. Coiled about 6" inches. The loops are tight around my HelmetLok carabiner. But, they do slip on. As someone noted earlier, the memory on the coil is strong enough that I don't think you want to stretch is the full 6' ft. Nicely plastic coated so you won't scratch anything on bike or helmet. Since I have a full face helmet it will make it easier to just lock the helmet through the big visor opening. My chin strap doesn't have a D ring. I have one of those new Fidlock buckles.

if that and it works like a charm
Works as exactly as I wanted it to. I don't think you want to stretch this out to it's full length for a long period of time, but I only needed it to stretch 2 feet max, if that and it works like a charm. I zip tied it to a hard mount up front on the bike, the other end is looped through my helmet sitting on the right mirror and locked. They'll break the helmet before they break the coil unless they have a pair of wire cutter in their pocket, which is highly unlikely. It's just to keep people who walk by from grabbing it and running off. In that regard, it's no longer an easy target of opportunity.

Casual resistance to theft
Small diameter cable provides only light resistance to theft. I don't know if it would stand up to a good tug, let alone resistance to being cut. But, sometimes the mere presence of a security cable deters theft. I found a more substantial locking one for less money at a popular motorcycle store, but the convenience of buying one here is worth it to some.

Satisfied with the product
Works as it should! It's just for keeping honest people honest! The hardcore criminal will get whatever you may be trying to secure with this product. I trust it with my Shoei Neotec II-so far so good.

Great but not quite 6'
Works perfectly fine. Coils up small. Extended length is not six feet, more like 4.5 I'd guess. I thread it through a jacket sleve and helmet D-rings and lock them to my bike with any pad lock.

Smaller than expected
I thought these were bigger. They are pretty small but it is cable wrapped in plastic. Not just plastic coils. Maybe i was just mistaken and now diappointed but tgese dont seem liie they are 6 ft of cable uncoiled. More like 3ft. Whatever im gonna use em anyways. These should prob be more like $2.50 maybe $3 each. $7 is steep for this.

Just what I needed
This works perfectly with an after market helmet lock that I picked up on Amazon for a few bucks. The cable is well insulated and does exactly what I wanted. It keeps the honest guys honest. While it could be cut or otherwise defeated with the proper motivation, this is a 7.00 cable guys. Don't expect it to protect like a 1/2 inch chain. Two thumbs up.

very thin, does not retain shape well
pretty sure you could cut through this with a pocket knife. Stretched out first use, won't retain shape. Really just cosmetic.
