K'NEX 4 Wheel Drive Truck Building Set with Working Lights and Alternate Dune Buggy Design - 313 Pieces

My 6 year old son and I had a great time putting this kit together. It was definitely a project that needed extra hands. We were very disappointed, however, to get to the very last step and discover that we were missing pieces. He is still happy and enjoys playing with it, but Mom is not very happy.

This set uses an innovative build design and great choice for any aspiring builder. The chassis build incorporates a four wheel steering mechanism as well as an independent suspension system that you would not find in other sets at this price range. Generally it was a moderately easy build and a complete beginner can complete it within an hour but the playability of the model truck after the build is what makes this set stand out.

Super fun, great toy. My 11 year has recently enjoyed K'Nex toys. I purchased this for a rainy day when he needed something different. It was a hit. The directions are visual but follow simple steps that even he can do this on his own. Although it's fun to spend the time with him and makes memories. Great purchase, would buy again. Super fun B-day gift for a friend too.

Both of our Grandchildren went wild when they got this! Their Pre K school has several sets of these and they loved to play with them. So Grandpa's were a big hit.... There are a lot of small parts, so they will have to play with them with supervision, but I am still very pleased with this purchase. It kept them both quite and totally engrossed in what they were building.

It frustrates my son a bit when he's playing with something and the lights turn off because he hasn't bumped it "hard enough" to make it light up.

grandson with aspergers & ADHD. TOTAL involvement for hours on end. Dont forget the batteries tho LOL. Next to lego's this is the best thing for boys or girls learning to reconnect with limited emotional skills. Also teaches sharing and allows children to feed off each others intellect and creativity. Wish I could give some to school for kiddo's. but small parts.

I bought this for a present for my nephew’s 7th birthday last week and it was a huge hit! He loves cars/trucks/anything with wheels, and loves building sets like this. He was always really into Legos (and still is) but just recently started being able to handle K’nex which are more difficult to assemble. With his grandfather’s help he was able to assemble it without too much difficulty, but certainly could not have done it himself. He had a lot of fun building it, and the piece is sturdy enough that he can actually play with it, as opposed to some Lego sets where he wants to play with them by driving them around, but they fall apart easily. He was also super excited that it had working lights!I wish K’nex had clearer directions, but overall the product is great as long as there is an adult to help with the assembly.

I bought these for my son (age 6) for Christmas and he absolutely loves them. He plays with them on an almost daily basis! It's fun to see all the different things be had come up with. The car was not too hard to put together, i did it with him. Now he uses the parts to build all kinds of fun things.
