Total Trainer Home Gym Fully Assembled W/ 10 Levels of Resistance

I chose this model and maker after exhaustive research of others. Forget the Total Gym completely. It is tacky looking, and has too many negative comments about quality of shipping, broken plastic wheels and lack luster customer service. And, if you do consider one of those, don't get the one from the television shopping channel. Bayou Fitness does not mass market their products. That is the main reason I chose them, but the other is that on the video from their website, they actually open and close and roll the machine. You won't see that on the other brand. The Amazon.com price for this machine is less than the MSRP. I already had money from Gift Cards so I ordered here.It arrived fast! I ordered it on May 26th 2014, it shopped the next day and arrived the 31st.It came double boxed. Once I opened all the packaging, I found the DvD and although a lil dated, exhibited by the clothing of the actors and some of the movements; it showed how to open and close it first. (smart)Every accessory was included. I followed the directions on opening the machine and it was as easy as stated. I used it on low pile carpet with no issues. Once you get it open continue with the DvD before you work out.I am fully knowledgeable about joint flexion/muscle reaction so the exercises described were nothing new and some are old school. But, if you are a newbie use them as guideline.There are many YouTube videos produced by Bayou Fitness et al, so watch what you can and learn.The bench is narrow but it has to be. The only odd thing is getting used to a moving bench while working out.It is the same size as many benches found in gyms in terms of width.I only have one small disappointment. I wanted it for Pilates as much as muscle strength. Unfortunately, the dual leg cuff assembly is not great for Pilates. What I mean is, the dual action is at the bottom of the machine not a separate assembly.That means, when you are using both legs the ropes will glide along your shoulders and upper body, not like a PIlates machine which has dual leg action at the top and the bench at the bottom (flat). In order to not have the ropes pull along your body you would have to raise the bench. I didn't want that. I am going to order the Pilates toe bar separably today but you could use the leg press assembly without the flat shelf (which comes unattached )for leg movements.I am going to call Bayou Fitness today to ensure I am correct about all that dual leg assembly, but I just watched several YouTube Videos and although there IS an assembly for the top it is a single leg/action pulley.Otherwise, I am very happy with this model.

Don't buy. Not a machine for a quality workout.

I decided to buy this product after comparing it to the Total Gym line of products. I purchased the Total Trainer because of the price, weight rrequirements, folding/unfolding and included attachments. I like the fact that I can add free weigths to the unit (upto 100lbs) for certain exercise. Folding and unfolding the unit is extremely easy. My only problem was that the rope on the pully system was too long. If I had adjusted the rope, as suggested in a youtube video , I don't think it would work well for certain execises. I took a star because of the time I had to spend figuring out the length of rope I needed for the pulley system. Otherwise, I am very please with my Bayou TT.

I really enjoy this. I love the bars that enable me to do pull ups and push ups. I love the fact that I can add plated weights to it as well.Though its large, its easy to move around. I put mine in the basement.I wanted a 'machine' that would allow me to work alternate muscles in addition to free weights. I also didn't want to spend the kind of money its competition charges.

Love this machine. My wife and I both get the workout we need.

Love it because there is pretty much nothing to assemble. And works as expected

Really good quality.much sturdier than all the other body weight machines and much cheaper.
