I had this thing set up and engraving in 20 min. The phone app is what made it all a breeze. READ THE MANUAL. Especially if you get the rotating table too, it zeros out only on specific instructions. From there your off to the races.2 thumbs up! I got the 10w Lazer witht he used/excellent condition. The guy put it together and couldn't run it. I bought this thing 2 weeks and already did over a dozen pieces stainless too! And I only get a couple hrs at night having 3 kids, this is gonna be a kool gift maker!!

I have absolutely loved the lc-40 laser engraver. It is my first. I made lots of stuff for work including metal cards I put on beads for my graduating seniors. I upgraded to the 10w (from the 5 watt) and added the air assist a couple months after I first got it. I upgraded for fun more than need.

I do like this laser and it is easy to assemble. There are some things I do not like though. The controls are in the back which is not good if using a laser enclosure as it is hard to reach the controls. You cannot add air assist, at least not with the 5w fac module. Also, if you need to adjust the belts, you have to disamble the frame a bit to tighten the belt system. I did notice, the newer lc-50 does not have this limitation and it is easy to tighten the belts. The last thing I did not like is that if you change firmware so you can use lasergrbl or lightburn, you lose the ability to autohome. I am not saying this is a bad laser because it is not. There are just some questionable design choices with this laser. And I should have done more research before buying one of these. I do think a more open frame laser would be a better choice especially for a beginner.One more thing I found and this a fairly important one. If you use a rotary you have to switch back and forth between grbl firmware that allows normal use and special grbl firmware that disables the y axis so you can use the rotary. It seems like a bad design decision. Why not have one firmware that can do both.

First let me say this is my first diode laser. My previous unit was a CO2 unit. With that, I did look at all the popular ones out there and looked at the reviews on multiple. Looked at so many reviews you can go blind. My reason for choosing the Genmitsu was the design and the fact that it uses linear rails.Assembly went very well and I have to admit that is one of the best manuals I have seen in years, very nice looking and well put together. Unit feels quality and is square.Overall, I had this up and running in under 2 hours. The software was ok…. The phone application was pretty straightforward. Now, I also chose this unit since it is compatible with Lightburn. This is where things kinda go downhill. It has a disclaimer that if you use Lightburn your home location changes and you will not be able to use rotary. Honestly, I was going to wait for the rotary they teased to be coming, but if I use Lightburn…. Then what?Currently, still testing the unit and contemplating if this was the best choice… or if I should have gone with a unit with proven Lightburn and rotary compatibility.

Easy to assemble, well designed, easy to use with phone app. I had a minor issue that the customer service team went above and beyond to resolve. It works VERY well, the repeatability is EXCELLENT. It has exceeded all the published specs and is performing very nicely. I look forward to the 10 Watt laser upgrade. Thank you Sainsmart Technical support for your efforts.

Easy to assemble and works great.

This machine is so easy to put together. The instructions are clear with good pictorials.More importantly, I had an issue where the "Y" axis was disabling when the machine was idle. This allowed the coiled USB cable thar drives the "X" axis to pull the bridge toward the back of the machine.A couple of e-mails myself and SainSmart and the issue was resolved.Thank you George at SainSmart for fast and accurate problem solving !!!

Smidig maskin för etsning, behöver man skära i plywood behöver man uppdatera lasern eller möjligtvis sätta på airassist. Bra maskin för pengarna.

Recommended for a starter machine. I have had good results with what I have wanted to do. I had issues with my belts and a faulty wire (two separate issues within the first 7 months of buying it). Luckily the customer service is really good and very responsive (shout out to Joey from Sainsmart). If you are interested in jumping into the world of lasers, this machine offers a good start at a good price.

Het is een professioneel product.Assemblage was eenvoudig en goed gedocumenteerd.De bekabeling is goed weggewerkt in het frame van de machine in tegenstelling tot andere laser snijders.De laser kan probleemloos snijden door verschillende soorten materialen.Ook kan de laser zeer kleine producten snijden en grafferen.Ik ben er super blij mee.

E' la mia prima stampante laser ,la sto testando da qualche giorno e credo di poter esprimere il mio parere .La stampante arriva ben confezionata ,i materiali sono buoni e il montaggio è semplice. Il tutto allegato dalle istruzioni in più lingue (tranne l'italiano).Silenziosità molto buona gli assi scorrono sia x che y su cinghie quindi precisi e veloci rispetto alle barre senza fine .Una volta montata si vede la qualità dei materiali e soprattutto l'accortezza nel nascondere i cavi .E' semplice da configurare e da usare .Allora perchè do solo 3 stelle su 5? Per un fatto molto grave almeno per quanto mi riguarda ,cioè i due firmware .Che vuol dire questo ? Vuol dire che quando vi arriva la stampante vi è allegata anche una pendrive con i firmware sopra ,uno per l'uso Bluetooth con il cellulare ,tablet ecc... e uno per l uso pc .Quindi ogni volta che si vuole utilizzare il bluetooth bisogna caricare il firmware corretto e viceversa quando si vuole usare il pc e questa è una bella seccatura .Per il resto consigliato
