Easy to learn, fun to play, hard to master
This is a great game that's been popular with friends. It's a really easy game to pick up and play, but there's a lot of strategy and depth to it. It's one that we keep coming back to. Highly recommended!

Be patient, easy to learn, fast and fun, awesome gift
First off, I am a huge fan of board games and wargames like 40k and Bolt Action. My son, 12, is a fan of video games like Fortnite and some other arena battle games he plays on consoles. So after punching everything out, I setup all the pieces in their respective stands. Each one has a small slot for upgrades on front and each color is respective of thier plastic standee. It also includes 1 extra of each color which is nice. Plenty of bags are provided to store everything away as well. This game is you go / I go with a twist of turret instant activation, and a bit of resources management. At first it is slow as you build up your members and arsenal, but it moves quickly once you got a lot of team members on the board and can be excitingly hectic. The rules are straight forward and easy to follow. Each player also gets a hefty sized rules mechanics double sided icon description quick reference card that helps the game move even faster. Don't get personal with any of your pieces. They die quick, with only one life or two if you had a chance to upgrade, and you keep generating more. This game is great for teens, and adults, and it provides a great way to get away from screen time which is a huge issue these days. The game does allow for some great tactics and the replay value is off the charts because the board is tiles and are double sided! Meaning an almost endless way to set things up. On our first game we did mess up setting some tiles where all the walls would allow no movement through a tile, but that was only one, and we used the "Glitch" and flipped it. Using a "Glitch" card from the resources allows you to flip or alter a tile piece, again adding to the replay value. My only issue with this game, and this is just personal I believe is the game insert should have been plastic, with some container spots built in like for the cards, tiles and and standees. Maybe I could just get an Amazon box and cut it up and do it myself when time permits. Also the tiles and Standees could have been just a bit bigger. If your traveling this game is unbelievably perfect it is super compact, but sometimes it's hard to make out what your small standees have as far as upgrades and what they are at first glance. Remember this could be just me. Each human looking figure stands at about 25mm.All the pieces are nice and thick, some chunky chunky cardboard here, rules are clear and concise, and if you have issues with the rules, the website has easy to follow rules there too with moving pictures to help guide you. The box also has some serious heft to it, like a premium game box should have. This game is an arena battle game that takes place in some mining facilities and that is where the resources come in. You trade in resources to buy more players and items.Anyways the game is a "win win" in this house as for it plays like a PC / console game with strategy, it's easy to play, high replay value, and add to family time.

Fast-paced game with a "video game" feel
I love, love, love strategy games, and though I tend to gravitate towards grand strategy (such as Axis & Allies and Conquest of the Empire), I do enjoy tactical strategy too.The one downside of many strategy games is that they can be a HUGE time sink and can also have a steep learning curve.Neither are an issue with Tactical Tech, which is easy to learn even for those who aren't experienced board gamers, and matches go by FAST. If you play for two hours, you're going to have multiple battles under your belt before you're done. That's great, since everyone will experience the thrill of victory at least once. That's by design. Much like a video game, this game is designed around the idea of losing "lives" fast, upgrading units so you can win a rematch, and trying again until you achieve victory. It's very much inspired by competitive PC games. There is some resource management, but it's pretty light and approachable. The bulk of the game is in moving your troops around and getting blasted by turrets.Quick reference cards make the rules easy to check on during a session. The game lacks the "toy box" factor of many modern games, since the pieces are 2D cardboard figures, but the cardboard is very thick and the overall aesthetic is good. Plus, the look is generic enough so that you could easily sub in your own miniatures to jazz things up a bit. Overall, it's well made.I really enjoyed this and see some potential for expansions (preferably with more map variety). Cool stuff that really scratches the itch for sci-fi combat.

Great strategy game that is based on mining resources, attacking and defending!
This game is very easy to learn, and the rule book is very short and even has some visual examples of different situations to clarify even further. The game play takes 90-120 minutes and the game is for 2-4 players. The components are very high quality and the troops and structures are design as standees which certainly helped to have a lower price considering how many components are in the box.The game is solely based on strategy and the battle mechanism is straight and has no luck-based mechanism (such as dice rolling) or anything along those lines. The rule book explains everything very well, but it still has some typos which are not really significant. So, learning it for the first time couldn’t be easier.Gameplay:The goal of the game is to destroy the enemy command base. You start the game with a miner, a command base and a fighter. The command base and the miner provide you with resource cards every turn (you draw from a face down resource deck) and you will be able to use them to pay for more miners or advanced miners (to obtain more resource cards per turn) or buy research cards and/or army units (fighter, shooter, mech, turret, shield, barricade or portals). You can systematically improve your army and approach the enemy base to destroy their army or miners to reduce their income and to finally be able to destroy their command base. The game can be played in free-for-all style where everyone fights to be the last one standing or just play in teams where some players work as allies to destroy the other team’s base. I haven’t had the chance to play the team version yet, but the free for all version was great and flawless. The game is heavily based on how you control your troops and defenses which is great if you like that style. There are also special cards in the resource deck that you can you can use to rotate a tile or make secret passages, which are great techniques to attack the enemy team where they are not expecting you.Cons:I wish the box had inserts for different components so you could organize them inside the box a bit better.Pros:Everything else 😊Overall, it is absolutely a great strategy game and gets a solid 5-star from me. I would definitely recommend this game if that’s your style.
