Second Time Around - Disappointing - What Happened?
Third pair purchased. Last two pairs were run in as part of a three shoe rotation. Comfortable ride. Good cushioning. Well worth the price.UPDATE: After 74 miles I find that the soles have separated from the "body" of the shoe. The same issue did occur with the previous pair/s but it was at the end of their lifespan. I am sorely disappointed that such a good shoe would self-destruct so soon.

Phenomenal Shoe!!
I had ordered two pairs (this shoe and another style of Zoot) because I wanted to give them a try. Upon receiving them, the first thing I noticed is how light they both were! While this style is a little heavier than the other pair I got, they are substantially lighter than most other running shoes I have tried. They are similar in weight to a freeform shoe. Straight out of the box, these shoes were incredibly comfortable and hugged my foot very well, but did not squeeze or pinch. The first run felt amazing and they performed very well - providing the stability you would want in a road shoe, but breathable and lightweight. I will stick with Zoot shoes from now on!! Completely satisfied with their entire product. I am blown away at how affordable this quality of shoe is. If you haven't tried a pair, you absolutely need to!

uncomfortable arch area
I bought the Zoot carlsbad first and loved them. So i bought this one. the price and look were good, but something about wearing it is not right. maybe just a deffect in my pair. There is an uncomfortable bump around the arch and the back part of the toe box.

Falling apart after 1 week
I have many pair of Zoot shoes and I love them. This pair however, the square orange treads on the bottom of the shoes are falling off. I noticed that when I found three of them under my desk. I wasn't even running with them. This is only the 3rd time that I have worn them. They're still very comfortable but I wouldn't even think about using them to run. It's too bad because I love the 7 or 8 pair of Zoots that I own.

Great for midruns and hoping to build up to long runs soon....
So far I really enjoy these shoes. I have run up to 7 miles and will be building that up to around 15 very soon. I also currently run in Saucony Kinvara 4 & 5, Saucony Ride, Mizuno Sayonara, and these. The initial feel of Zoot was awesome when I tried on at running expo and ordered later via Amazon. I have also order a pair of their all weather that I will be saving for wet and later in year for winter. My 7 mile run was in a heavy rain storm and I was impressed with how they felt during it. Designed for nuetral runner and I like running in shoes that have a 4-8mm drop, which these are at 8mm.

Good first impression
I just ran over 10 miles on my first day with them and they felt spectacular. I had ASICS GT 2000 before and the first 30 miles I felt numbness and this didn't happen with the Solana. They feel light and soft, so if you are looking for something tough look elsewhere. I have 4 more hours of running this week so I will comment on Sunday.UPDATE: This week I ran almost 34 miles and the Solana's felt great. My last 1 hour 15 minutes run I ran without socks and the shoes felt great, you don't need socks to wear this shoes, that is a great feature. They're triathlon ready! I also never felt numbness, which happened to me with the ASICS GT 2000 during the first couple weeks. I recommend the Solana's.

Marginal
I really like that these shoes look nice and they breathe well... But overall they do not provide much support and they are cheaply made.

And overall I'm quite pleased. I have always bought adidas or another more ...
I bought these shoes for mid level road running. And overall I'm quite pleased. I have always bought adidas or another more we'll know brand but I decided to change my tactics,Durability:The shoes have held up well overall. I used them three - four times a week (on and off) for the passed year, running between 5-10km. There is as you would expect small loss of insole but surprisingly very little on the outside of the shoe. I was very pleased by this as previously bought runners had been torn up quite badly by the hard surfaces of road running.Comfort:The she's are quite comfortable overall and very lightweight which is essential imo. The only gripe I have, and it's probably me more than the shoes, is that a year later I have worked a Groove into the insole (as expected) so I am feeling the road alot more now than I was initially,a small gripe overall but noticeable nonetheless.Price:I thought that these shoes were quite affordable as some more widely known brands could set you back a small fortune, so I decided to try them out. I'm very pleased with how the shoe has performed and the price is a good indicator of what to expect. These are definitely worth what I paid.Recommend:Absolutely. A good shoe for what I needed them for! I couldn't comment on how they would hold up if you were doing iron man's every other weekend but for 20-25km a week they are perfect. Would Definitely buy again.
