SmartShake Jay Cutler (Black & Gold) 27oz Shaker

Q: Is the hard plastic lid or the cheap bendy plastic lid? Other smart shakers are breaking at the circle top. Thanks.

Hard plastic, I own two (12 oz and 27 oz) and have been using the since December last year. I carry them from the spout cover and supplied carabiner. Good construction no leaks, you won't be disappointed. Just know that you can't just use the key/pill storage by itself it sits in the protien powder storage and makes for a tall cup on the 27 oz. The 12 is more of a normal size when using all the components.

Q: I am confused about the volume. Does the bottle portion itself hold 27 ounces? (Doesn't look like it in the picture.)

No it holds 16 oz. If you fill it to the top.

Q: Does anyone else still have a plastic smell/taste after daily use of this bottle for 6 months? I tried leaving Vinegar overnight as well, no fix.

I have not had an issue with a plastic smell.
