Thermos Funtainer 16 Ounce Bottle, Matte Black

It says that is Funtainer Thermos for kids but it comes without a straw!!!Its just “direct” thermos but the seller doesn’t mentioned that!

It doesn't really matter if the thermos has good insulation and is easy to clean it leaks all over the place.The seal on the lid is a flat silicone ring that tends to twist rather than sit flat in place. If it twists at all, the thermos will leak.I'm quite disappointed since the younger child version with a sipping straw integrated into the seal never leaks.

I like Thermos products but I didnt realize this one came with a straw. I find the straws dont stand up to my son chewing on them and they are difficult to clean without a special brush. We ended up returning and getting him a Simple Modern water bottle which he loves.

It looks nice. The lid snaps firmly in place. Right size for backpack pockets. You can use it for coffee or other hot beverages as long as its not piping hot. The spout is more designed for cold beverages and you could easily scald yourself. Cleaning is problematic. The "O" ring is easily removed for cleaning but a hassle to put back in. But I only remove the ring once a week. The silicone piece over the spout needs to removed and rinsed/cleaned. The way it's designed lets whatever liquid you had seep under it. Same with the "O" ring. So it's just not enough to rinse/clean while leaving it in place. A good buy for the price, still.

Perfect SIZE for older grade school kid.Perfect for COVID times as it has a one touch cap push button opening and closes with-out having to put fingers on or near spout!!!!!Perfect for WASHING as it has zero removable parts (other than twist off lid) and no nooks and crannies to get gross!Colour is great and has lasted so far ( 3-months in)Metal keeps content cold and has less chances of plastic leaching in if ever the contents were to get warm, say if it got left in sun.I did have to teach my kid to open lid COMPLETELY so it locks into place (hear click) and then it doesn't flip onto face whilst drinking and to close properly (hear click) so it locks. Once the kid got that, no leaks.
