Worming Pills
These pills are fantastic, because they tackle two types of worm parasites, as opposed to just one. These Drontal pills do exactly what they are supposed to do, and have never let me down yet - a when mixed in with my cat's wet food, they go down the hatch positively unnoticed, and I have the satisfaction of knowing that my cat is protected against worms for another few months. The years supply box is excellent value for money, because it means I only have to buy one box which will last for the duration, and it is also cheaper than buying it at the local pet shop. Overall, a great brand of pill, which is certainly worth trying out on your cat!

These work great if you can get them in your cat
I used these with a pill popper device and they are effective and cheaper than the spot-on wormer

Great product.
Very fast delivery. We have been using this stuff for our cats for about 2 years. We have 2 British Short Hairs, 1 Moggy Tom, and 2 half Siamese half Maine Coon and none of them have had any adverse reaction or resistance to the medication. Our Moggy Denzel went missing recently for 15 days and as you can expect he had worms when he returned (from his new diet of field mice and bin buffet I imagine.) We gave him his drontal early and he was clear of worms within 2 days.

Good!
I can't get over these worming pills for the cat. Well before giving the cat a pill, he was eating about half a sachet of food but now since giving him the worming pill he's eating like a horse. Surely it should bethe other way around? I don't understand at all.

As recommended by our vet.
Best wormer out there and great value for money. Just a shame it doesn't come with a qualified nurse to give them the pills... our cats do not take them willingly! I have tried it all: crushing it in food, hiding it in a treat, using a pill-giver, just pushing it down their throats myself and then rubbing the outside of the throat to get them to swallow... as soon as it's time, they know and they go into hiding. When I do eventually catch them, it takes a LOT of effort to get it down them, but many attempts, many scratches and a lot of my blood later, I always manage it in the end. And 3 months later I have to start all over again! But it definitely is the best wormer we have had and for the best price.

Great price but if your cat is over 4kg you ...
Great price but if your cat is over 4kg you need to either give them one and a half tablets (so you'll need more than 1 pack for a year's supply) or buy the Drontal tablets for larger cats. These protect against round and tapeworm but not lung worm. I was concerned after reading comments from other users about some worming tablets reacting badly with certain flea spot-on solutions (their beloved healthy pets had passed away as a direct result!). I also bought Advantage 80mg spot-on solution for large cats (my puddy cat likes his food!). Both Drontal cat worming tablets and Advantage are made by Bayer, so I felt reassured they would have carried out stringent testing as to the compatibility of their products.

different reactions
Tyty our female had to have it crushed into some lick e lix for her to take it and she seems alright with it although she had the runs for a while afterwards, our boy however took it whole mixed in with treats, and about half an hour later threw up until all he could bring up was froth, and kept dry heaving for what seemed like a good ten minutes- not sure if it would have even been slightly effective in that time and am very unsure of giving him another dose in case he reacts the same way again, however there has been no sign of worms in either since

Very effective and easy to administer
I've found these to be the best tablets for my cat. They'e quite large, but the fact that they're oval shaped and easy to break means it's much easier to get them into her! She's a fussy madam, and in order to conceal them completely inside soft treats I usually cut them into four pieces (it's easy to do this with kitchen scissors). The tablets are hard and well-made, so they don't disintegrate into a powder when you break them up as cheap ones do.
